Greetings! My actual laptop has a Nvidia GTX 850M, and an Intel HD 4600. Is it be possible to use both at the same time? Or even each one on a different project? The same way, is it possible to select a project to that specific GPU? There are no projects here at World Community grid that currently support GPU's. There are other BOINC projects that do. You can use the Nvidia GPU at GPUGrid and the Intel GPU at Einstein@home. AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

Hi JPSOUSAdesign and welcome to the forum ![]() Yes, it is possible to use your GPGPU's for separate projects, you just have to find which project has ported its application for each of your GPGPU. Since there are not applications for GPGPU in WCG, you have to check on selected project's forum how to use it/them. Cheers and ![]() ![]() Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. Just got myself a new nVidia GT730 - fastest for a PCIe 8x slot (it's a server board with Xeon)...and it runs SETI@home, as I write this to you...
----------------------------------------& what I like about SETI@home is that it is so unintrusive! you can do so much work, wouldn't even know that GPU is crunching sthg... ;) |

Hi:
Like all of you I joined this project in the hope of saving lives. Crunching on a GPU is more efficient than using the CPU. It is akin to hoping around on one leg as opposed to two. I have two laptops with Ndivia Geforce video cards installed in them. I wanted the use the WHOLE machine while I was doing emails, etc. I found GPUGrid.net and now I am GPU crunching on medical projects for them. In addition, I do not know if there is a bottleneck in the feeder here but I rarely receive an Ebola WU now. All of the WUs I get now are the Clean Energy Project. You want to use your GPU? Add the GPUGRID to your Bionic projects. Clive |

I run WGC and GPUgrid. One thing you might wanna know about is that GPU grid is testing some new, CPU-only multicore work units. If you want your CPU to stay on this project, you will have to micromanage your GPUgrid account settings.

Gpugrid only supports nvidia gpu.

It is true GPU grid is trialling a multithreaded CPU application. It is certainly slower than a GPU but you can still contribute to this science

I found that GPUgrid is slows the computer too much on graphic scale...so you can't work on it anymore! :/
----------------------------------------So only calcs during the computer is not in use is suggestable! With other projects like SETI@home it's not like that... ;) |
