A nice one recently used in a Supreme Court Ruling Dissent: Jiggery Pokery It's apparently 170 years Oh yes, English is Hotch Potch I always enjoy how English is interpreted by foreign language speakers and for those whom English is not their native tongue. I have not seen Hotch Potch, but have always seen it spelled and pronounced as hodge-podge meaning an amalgam of various parts put together to mean more than the sum of its disparate parts in a manner of a Rube Goldberg machine. I wouldn't trust free dictionary. It's probably more reliable than Urban Dictionary but I've found inaccuracies on various occasions.
