Hello all,

The Outsmart Ebola Together team has provided a project update, which you may find here.

Please check out this exciting update to learn about where the scientists are with analyzing the initial data received, and what's up next for the research team.

Thank you!

Yes, thank you for the positive update - it's very rewarding to hear that useful results are already being analysed in the lab, and that the project is moving onto its next target.

applause Re: Outsmart Ebola Together project update - May 2015

Sums sums sums, we did according the news item process most of the data for the planned matchings of the Ebola surface protein against 5.4 million candidate chemical compounds, for so far 25 million results [at 30% progress per the Research page and project chart ]. What more excitement is in store, after Lassa ;?

Thank you for letting us know of the progress. smile Will not pretend that I understood more than about 25% of the article's science perspective. That set aside, it looks good. Go WCG and the Outsmart Ebola Togethe, leading to some appropriate name for the Lassa Fever project. hugs hugs

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together project update - May 2015

Thank you, Erika. Being a 68 year old retired financial analyst, I have difficulty understanding the doings of viruses and activities at a molecular level. However, I gather from the excited tone of your report that you are happy with progress. I hope the number crunching leads to treatments for Ebola and Lassa. I will continue participate in this useful work.

biggrin

John
