Re: Long computing times with short Due date?

Re: Long computing times with short Due date?

1. learn how to QUOTE...at least that's d minimum 4 u, if u wanna participate in d community of forum! wink
2. (goes 4 Eric K. also) if u even knew what it was written in d text...& that my reference was of internationally minimum standard of quality called ISO 9001...than you'd understand what my words were saying...
but it's seen that u don't know what ISO 9001...& unlike myself have never been educated in it & passed it for a certification to become an auditor!
cool

maybe we shouldn't have quality standards here on WCG & in IBM?!

1) I did quote and it was an accurate quote. Nothing was taken out of syntax.

2) Eric K. wasn't speaking for everyone like you constantly do.

Based upon your posts, quality and standards are clearly lacking. So for someone educated in ISO 9001, it surely doesn't portray that.

I would encourage you to read the following rules:

1. learn how to QUOTE...at least that's d minimum 4 u, if u wanna participate in d community of forum! wink

Once again: Speak for yourself!
And if your going to define community participating minimum requirements:
In my opinion lazy typing is below such requirements, too.
Here are some words for copy & paste usage:
4 = for
u = you
d = the
love struck wink cool

And no I'm not talking about typo or related and I'm not a native speaker too. Means I'm making mistakes too.

neither is ur: YEPP recently...
wink

#1. Who died and left you in charge?
#2. *yawn* Who cares.

maybe we shouldn't have quality standards here on WCG & in IBM?!

Maybe you should take your narcissistic nonsense somewhere else.

nobody died...& nobody left me in charge!

on #1: but there's a certain form of "IT literacy" on forum...a 1 that that user is not known of! but if u want, u can tutor him...no problem! wink
on #2: again, if u don't care about WCG - why r u here then? if it's boring here, go elsewhere...a WWW is such a big place...don't let me keep u up! wink

& on last comment: didn't u just say that u don't care?! laughing LoL

on 1: well, learn a BBcode...it's not that hard! believe me...
on 2: again, maybe u should learn ur language more?! I never speak about "all crunchers", just about "many or most"...& all quality remarks given r "just on target"...why? check d forums of CEP2 & FAHB about: errors, complains, I/O requirements, problems, high priority crunching of long WUs with short due date, etc...

maybe u don't like a critic? but that is what forum is 4...give opinions & suggest solutions about how to make things better...

EDIT:
1 more thing...did u check d new "JOIN IN" web page of WCG?
here is 1 relative thing: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/discover.action#performance
a word here's UNOBTRUSIVE app in BOINC of WCG!

Re: Long computing times with short Due date?

I'm using BOINC 7.6.9 with a small cache and that manages the jobs with plenty of time to meet the short deadline.

Re: Long computing times with short Due date?

also, in domain of quality standard ISO 9001 goes:
- this topic, about a "Long computing times with short Due date?" product
- but also this one "Run dry already?"

about UNOBTRUSIVE app, there is plenty of topics in CEP2 forum here:
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/listthreads?forum=480

so, if I can manage to write full words here (from now on)...so can any of the scientists to use all his knowledge & re-think his/hers (to be sexually correct) approach to the given grid resources...
because any "extra-time" (like we had on linux & OS X) is costing not only money...but smaller throughput of data on all projects on WCG (including FAHB in this example)...so I'm happy to see that SRI has responded to quickly & promptly to rectify the problem!
wink

Re: Long computing times with short Due date?

One more time klik: any extra time on my OS X costs nothing to you because you dont own any of it and dont pay for any of it. It might cost me, but I am not complaining. So, avoid using "we", "us" and similar pronounces trying to add me into your bag.

As lot of crunchers already asked you (I know it is the beating of the dead horse, but anyway, will try again and again to be unrude to you).
