[sarcasm]The fix will make linux twice as fast windoze and all the windoze people will complain.[/sarcasm] Shhh, then they'll have to test a fix for windoze and there'll have to be another beta |

Good news !
----------------------------------------I am very interested to discover the improvement. By the way: earning some info about the root causes would be fine! Cheers, Yves |

Internal testing is looking good and I would expect a beta test soon. It was a build issue, some of the compiler options were having a much greater than expected impact on performance.
Thanks, armstrdj |

Regarding the points per crunched WU, I have also noticed that the first WUs I crunched were awarded around 550-590 points and now, all what I get is around 340-370 points per WU.

I think there is a rule about that. Something like if you exceed the expected claim by a given percentage it triggers some form of anti-cheat mechanism

They could consider running it in VirtualBox. And what OS should be running inside the VirtualBox? With windows you have a licence issue and linux you have the problems you have right now. Beside that: I'm not sure whether or not it is possible to run on a linux server version with no UI. It sounds like you are making a personal argument based on your own situation. They can run whichever version they want to insofar as I am concerned, or none at all. It is an additional option to consider. |
