This issue with the 2 .png files getting stuck is still a problem, and it would be nice if we got some kind of definitive diagnosis and fix. Please don't just tell me this is a BOINC version issue, because that is bunk, I have it happening on different computers running different versions of BOINC. I periodically have these files trying to download and fail-fail-fail over and over until I notice that I have no new work crunching. The file downloads have to be aborted before new work will arrive. And there seems to be no reason for it. Since I abort them every time, it is clear I don't need them to crunch WUs. Can someone please make it stop? Thank you! The post that Sekrob references is this one: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...ead,38832_offset,0#513957 If your issue is the same issue, you will be able to clear the issue by forcing an update of the project (go into the BOINC Manager -> Projects Tab -> Select World Community Grid -> Press the 'Update' Button). This will update your list of files to download to use the proper references. If this does not solve your download problems, then your issue is a different issue. Please start a new thread and post your message logs in that thread so that we can see what is happening. |

Fix in 7.6.23 just released for Win/OSX
"client: don't count user or project files in transfer limit. We don't want stalled downloads of project image files to block the downloading of job input files." Which I understand as the hung .png slideshow files not blocking task files. |
