Teams?

I have only been crunching since last June, but I really don't see the point of joining a team...

Am I missing something?

Re: Teams?

Meet new people. Participate in team challenges. If you have any specific interests there is probably a team for it. If you join a team and decide later it's not your thing you can always unjoin.

You don't get anything more crunching-wise. It's all about getting to know some of your fellow crunchers. Even with all the teams here, that can be a bit of a challenge. Many of the really small teams just exist. There's nothing else. Some of big ones have active websites and their own forums. You can switch or quit teams any time too. Several have active threads here. Crunching is like volunteering at a non-profit but just doing the work. Joining a team is a way to get to know the other volunteers you're working with. Give it a try.

Re: Teams?

Take stroll over to the Team forum, check it out (what they talk about, etc) and see if it's your cup of tea. You don't lose or gain anything pointwise.
