Re: ECD topic

It says there "und meinem Dutsch muß ich praktiziert."
So you quite clearly need to improve your 'Dutsch' (Dutch), 'cause it shows up looking like German language. laughing
(Of course you meant Deutsch, everybody will understand that tongue )

I think that was corrected several years ago...just checked I it doesn't say Dutsch.

Anyway, thanks for reminding me to check it. wink

Re: ECD topic

it doesn't say Dutsch.

Clicking on "Luka Marinović-pl Grgurević" (this will bring you to https://www.facebook.com/luka.marinovic) and then scrolling to "ABOUT LUKA" (in all capitals) will reveal it still does at this moment, but if you say it doesn't, let's keep it that way.

Tomorrow is update. wink

Re: ECD topic

The first line is (pardon me, adriverhoef) Double Dutch to me.
The second line could be (but hardly is) explainable and excused by this (source: Wikipedia):
The Pennsylvania Dutch (Pennsilfaanisch Deitsch), are a cultural group formed by early German-speaking immigrants to Pennsylvania and their descendants. The word "Dutch" does not refer to the Dutch people (Nederlanders) or their descendants, but to German people whose ethnonym in their own language is Deitsch (in dialectal German) or Deutsch (in standard German).

German is not my core competence, but what goes against my grain here is the "praktiziert"
which really needs an infinitive "praktizieren" as I see it.

blushing Sorry about this ..... cannot help it ....held it back for a long time ....

Re: ECD topic

What strikes me most is that KLiK can't tell the difference between "Dutsch" and "Deutsch", little mermaid. KLiK just doesn't seem to spot what is wrong.

You're right about 'praktizieren', that's the infinitive. What KLiK probably should do is:
Er sollte
a) sein Deutsch verbessern, gut üben, und dann
b) sein Deutsch praktizieren. wink

EDIT: The Japanese line just says "However, I would like to practice my Japanese."

Genau, adriverhoef

Könnten wir uns erst nochmal ein Hintertürchen offenhalten oder stürzt du dich gleich auf ihn? devilish

My fear is that my Japanese is worse than KLiK's, little mermaid. However, Google Translate makes up for a lot. biggrin

I agree, Google Translate is a fantastic tool in the pure meaning of the word. I just tried to reverse-translate my first paragraph. If nothing else, it can make you laugh

Of course, adriverhoef, I have said "us": You (may I do?) And the whole forum! So whether you do not think, then the backdoor quite clear. And, yes, I have a tendency to be positive
thinking
