Greetings,
I have been monitoring the results and scheduler requests. It looks like the backlog of those waiting to hammer us is over. System handled it nicely with uploads to our servers never hitting the max connections. As a side note, validators are turned on, however the transitioner is a little behind and is catching up quickly. Within the next hour, results that have been reported should begin to be validated. Dear WCG Tech team,
----------------------------------------thank you very much for the support and for the hard work required during the last 2 days. We really appreciate the way you resolved this major incident. Since many of us are involved in IT system operation, we would like - after you would have had sufficient time for recovering and relaxing - that you could provide an analysis report of this incident . Maybe several of us can learn from this bad experience and try to avoid that a similar scenario occurred again to us. I was worried 12 hours ago, having woken up to find no status change. Great work. All sorted..... SO many important computations could potentially have been lost - hopefully nothing lost - just delayed 36 hours or whatever it was!!!

Nice to see it's all up and running again!! Neil. I have been running HSTB and OET but have been deselecting OET after getting 300+ new work units. Fortunately, I had enough Work Units. to crunch over the outage. I have not gotten any downloads due the paristy of HSTB work. I hope they fix the "My Projects" selection functionality. ![]() |
