Dunno except that it would be environmentally responsible to shut down electrical loads which are not doing anything useful. To me it is kind of like leaving all of the lights on in the house just because you might need them sometime. I have gotten to the point where I shut down two of my most power-hungry BOINC boxes during the AC season but turn them back on when the weather cools enough for the windows to stay open or the furnace to be switched back on.

I run less in hot weather also. No AC and don't want to stress my machine.

Yes, we are working on an issue that came up during maintenance. It is causing issues with uploading and downloading at the moment. We are working towards fixing that. No eta at the moment.
Wow, that must be some kind of big or complex issue to be down for so long. Hope you find the solution soon, luck !

Eight and a half hours after this post (and way beyond the scheduled time for this change to be completed), is there any update?

It is now almost 0200 UTC 7/19 and still can't upload.

-- We seem to be having a lot of big problems since switching to the cloud! -- just saying.

I totally agree - I just hope it's 'teathing problems', but sometimes, I do wonder as to whether some advances in computing are built up beyond there abilities (after all, 'the cloud' is just a series of servers organised in a different way).

Also, why do maintenance in the MIDDLE of the week? Unless it was absolute emergency, maintenance should wait until WEEKENDs.
