Uplinger,

Sgt. Joe,
For the terminal test, don't copy and paste the curl -Ov line from the browser as it is shown. Type the curl -Ov into terminal and in the browser use the Copy link location to get the full url and then paste that into the terminal. I made that error the first time as well. |

Edit: Tried you link in WinXP and it failed in the browser the first time but worked the second time. Worked the first time in a download manager. Same here in FF 54.0.1 64 bit, first time top link caused site screen to be replaced by a big text 'Unauthorised...", second time the download manager was opened asking where to save. |

We will be loading more beta batches to run. If anyone who is having the download error could set http_debug in their client config to get more data if the issues occurs again. Follow the directions here, https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration , to set it for your client version. Then if you have the issue on any of the new work please either post the relevant section of the event log here or email it to support.
Thanks, armstrdj |

Techs, is about 45MB download per workunit going to be the norm, or is this because these are lone units, rather than 1 reference set serving a whole group?

The download will vary based on the batch. There is one static file that is around 20MB but will only need to be downloaded once. For the new workunits that are going out now this file was updated so a new version will be downloaded but once we get to a steady state this file shouldn't change often if ever. The dynamic files for a workunit will be around 8MB for the smaller systems and around 50MB for the larger systems.
Thanks, armstrdj |

Is checkpointing working?
----------------------------------------Edit: Okay.. after 20 minutes of CPU time, no checkpoint and progress went from nearly 10% to 2%.... and seems to be stuck there. Edit 2: After 5 CPU minutes stuck at 2%, progress increased to 4%. No checkpoint.... 64-bit Linux AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz [Edit 3 times, last edit by Falconet at Jul 28, 2017 10:24:33 PM] |

Thanks, armstrdj Thanks for the information I am gathering that you mean between 8 and 50 MB per task/download? Any idea what the upload sizes will be? ---------------------------------------- ![]() |
