Thank you, Kevin.
----------------------------------------I will refer to the last 6 ultimate stragglers as ultra laggards. I will also refer to the 130 stuck units as a separate category. 5 days have passed since the last report. In that time, the last of the ultra laggards has moved on 4 generations to generation 050 and their leader has also moved on 4 generations to 059. 130 units have been referred to Delft as being stuck. They appear to consist of generation 079 x 1, 084 x 3, 086 x 1, 087 x 1, 088 x 13, 089 x 23, 090 x 14, 091 x 16, 092 x 7, 093 x 8, 094 x 5, 095 x 4 plus 34 others. The last of the other extreme generations has been redefined to generation 097 and their leader has moved on 3 generations to 105. The last of the accelerated generations is 106 and their leader is still 110. The current leading generation is still 120. The definition for extreme laggard is now -15 generations with accelerated remaining at -10 generations. It may be that only the 6 ultras will qualify for triplets by next week. 43,173 units have been validated in the last 5 days (down to 8,634.6 per day). 6 units are in the ultra category, 130 stuck, 24 other units (0.07%) are in the extreme category and 4,844 (13.60%) in the accelerated (priority) generations. That last figure is higher than the Kevin's report, presumably because many in those generations were not priority when issued. There are now 2,510,526 units to be crunched to finish the project assuming that a full generation 182 is the last. As the number of results returned includes redundant extreme triplets and maybe errors and invalids I will use the average number of units validated since my last report (5 days), so my target for completion is now calculated as 28 September 2022. That is 45 days later than my last summary, assumes everyone works as now until the last day and reflects the reduction in work returned. It is likely that we will see the project finish before the end of 2022 due to the efforts to close up the laggards. My guess would be October 2022. My report shows why the proportion of normal units has increased. Mike |

When you need to reboot, suspend each ARP unit as it hits a checkpoint and you will not lose any work. Have enough of the other projects to fill in for the duration. Mike |

Not getting any priority work at this time. In fact, picked up 5 HST1 units. Results returned have dropped about 7000 per day since Dec 5 for ARP1(as Kevin explained) but more interestingly, results returned have dropped almost 150,000 per day for the whole WCG project for the same timeframe. Hope this is more of a Holiday break than members leaving WCG in general. I think PrimeGrid had a challenge going on, maybe everyone is over there for the challenge. However, the reduced data load should make for an easier transition with shorter rsync activity.

I tend to shut off my computers if I'm going away on vacation, so it seems reasonable that we would hit a lull at this time of year.

97.3% of all units are non-priority at the moment.
I wonder if those university machines were also running other projects? Mike |

I agree, I seem to be getting normal priority work as needed. The TB work just jumps in there at times. I'm definitely not complaining. I'll work the TB work same as ARP1.

All categories have moved on 1 generation.
123 of the 130 stuck units now identified as generations 079 - 099. The 6 ultra laggards will start to overtake the stuck units in about 3 weeks. Completion date heading for November without the university machines. Next full report at the weekend. Mike |
