BOINC developers have been very consistent (euphemistically) in employing 0 and -1, where -1 in places also could mean unlimited. Have never seen anything like what you're saying since the app_config configuration was added to the BOINC app. Can you show an instance of that? Outside of app_config, e.g. "If you want to use all CPUs, either omit using this option, or set <ncpus>-1</ncpus>" Interesting. If I was going to restrict CPU usage I would do it in the BOINC app preferences. I can not see why anyone would want to use that command in the cc_config file. IIRC the default setting in BOINC is to use all CPUs and if not it's easily changed. On another note I was getting a trickle of WUs on my lone linux host. Now nothing since yesterday.

Thanks for letting me know about the 7 day limit for these new WUs. That should work fine for me with my laptop.
Now I just have to be patient to get one of them. So far when my laptop has been ready for new work, my event log is showing no tasks available for this project. Hopefully in the upcoming week I'll manage to snag a few.  |

I've gotten three so far over 12 threads while keeping them 100% busy with the following strategy:
----------------------------------------Fill your queue with another project, then switch to only requesting arp1. Refill the queue as needed with the other project and repeat. There are a disturbing number of folks reporting empty queues when you could be using this easy strategy. |
