Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

On two of my odroids the betas all fail:

They are the oldest devices odroid u2 with four cores.

On the newer odroid xu3 the beta runs fine. Same boinc client:

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

So the WUs with the 7.17 app are batches 337 and 338, right? Got 180 of those, but only 1 has started so far (getting quite a bit of FAH2 lately, so the client gives that priority). Is there really a difference between resuming with laim disabled and rebooting? I am getting lots of ARP work now, so rebooting would mean a lot of CPU time lost there... If it really is an important difference I can look for systems with relatively few ARP units.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Have 3 running Betas. Did one reboot and lost only little time. Now they are still running.
BETA_OPN1_0000337_05678
BETA_OPN1_0000337_02818
BETA_OPN1_0000337_08827

More time was lost for the parallel running ARP WU.

Got 1 of these new ones on Android (the one that had 1 error and 1 valid). Manually started it now.

The previous batch had 1 invalid on Linux (all the other hosts had the same so it must have been that build issue).

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

I have 4 BETAs running on Android, one of them just finished. This device has been running ZIKA tasks successfully for years and more recently SCC1 and MCM1 without a hiccup. The last task that failed, until today, was a ZIKA one, back in January 2019 (!).

My BETA task that just finished (_1_) failed, too, with "finish file present too long", after 19 long execution hours. crying

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

So here are my totals for batches 333 through 336, before it becomes too cumbersome to add it all up with the new batches... Got 181 WUs: 152 valid, 18 in PV, 3 still in progress, 5 invalid, 2 server abort, and 1 too late (which is also a server abort I guess, but with the WU completed and returned).

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Not sure if this is meant to be the case or if there is an issue with the WU or my device, but the runtimes are wildly different - I got some betas (without realising as they're on devices I don't check that much!) and on the same device, the progress is as follows:

07:10:45 - 40.6% (BETA_OPN1_0000333_4143_1)
00:42:18 - 16.8% (BETA_OPN1_0000333_7344_1)
00:42:49 - 2.9% (BETA_OPN_0000336_04851_2)

My other idea for the difference between the last two is that they're in a different batch, so processing may be different?

I did do the resume/suspend/reboot tests, and no major problems notices :) lost a couple of percent/processing mins, but nothing too much :)

Chris

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

From the last Beta batch (started on May 5th), 2 invalid WUs of about 140 WUs at this time:
BETA_OPN1_0000336_02476
BETA_OPN1_0000337_00276

The results provided by the other wingmen are invalid too (no computation error just becoming invalid at validation time).
Cheers,
Yves

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

7.17 ran while I was sleeping so I didn't get a chance to do the reboot test.
I do not have any new Invalids.
