Will this have any affect on what we are doing?
----------------------------------------Coronavirus hospital data will now be sent to Trump administration instead of CDC "The Times said hospitals are to begin reporting the data to HHS on Wednesday, noting also that the "database that will receive new information is not open to the public, which could affect the work of scores of researchers, modelers and health officials who rely on C.D.C. data to make projections and crucial decisions." Will this have any affect on what we are doing? That looks like public heath data on hospitilization rates, cure rates, etc. I don't think it has anything to do with our work. We are several stages removed from that. |

It will have no effect until Trump decides that COVID is no longer a problem and cuts off funding.

There are a lot of charts on the net comparing covid symptoms against other ailments, but the chart from this site is the only one I've found so far that's updated frequently (chart is also available in Spanish):
----------------------------------------https://community.aafa.org/blog/coronavirus-2...-with-asthma-need-to-know The chart is clickable once you scroll further down the page to where it says, "How Can I Tell the Difference Between Asthma, COVID-19, the Flu, a Cold or Seasonal Allergies?" The chart was last updated yesterday (July 15) to include CDC's additional symptoms of wheezing, chest pain, and rapid breathing. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by catsdomain at Jul 17, 2020 1:00:21 AM] |

CDC adds cancer patients to list of those at increased risk of severe illness from Covid-19
From CNN Health’s Naomi Thomas Cancer has been added to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s list of underlying medical conditions that increase risk of severe illness from Covid-19. “Revisions were made on July 17, 2020 to reflect recent data supporting increased risk of severe Covid-19 among individuals with cancer,” the CDC website says. The increased risk applies to people of all ages. The other conditions included on the list include chronic kidney disease, obesity, serious heart conditions and Type 2 diabetes. They also list conditions that could lead to an increased risk of severe illness. These include asthma, cystic fibrosis and high blood pressure. The CDC says it will continue to update information as more becomes known. |

Much has already been written about covid-19 and glucocorticoids treatment such as https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40618-020-01266-w, new reports using the medicine on patients suffering from the so called cytokine storm, the immunity system going haywire, claims 79% come out surviving.
