Re: Interesting News Articles About OPN1 - COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus

COVID-19 Pandemic

The journal American Psychologist has a special issue on the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In particular, the article Ethical Considerations for Psychologists in the Time of COVID-19 is intended to provide guidance to psychologists who encounter ethical issues while offering services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Psychologists working across settings (e.g. private practice, hospitals, clinics, universities, colleges, research centers) and various roles (e.g. clinicians, scientists, educators, advocates) are likely to find the information contained in this article useful. The authors hope this article will encourage ethical decision making during these unprecedented times.

Two fictional vignettes are presented. Psychologist Working in an Academic Setting and Clinician Transitioning to Telehealth.

Pre-Publication research: A group of german cardiologists confirmed that recovered patients of COVID-19 often show scars on their heart muscle. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiolo...t=tfl&utm_term=072720

All the more reason to stay and behave safely... Mask, Socially Distanced, frequent hand washing (at least 20 seconds). Those scars are for life.
