Re: Work unit availability

Low-performing GPUs like iGPU get WUs on a regular basis. GPUs with a lot of power like RTX 3070 get WUs every now and then.
this is exactly the experience I am making, too

I have a gut feeling, that they get about the same amount of WUs. However, since it only takes couple of minutes to crunch the WUs on high end GPUs, their queue seems "always" empty.

Re: Work unit availability

It appears that not all environments for OPNG were present.

Re: Work unit availability

The kibble crunching environment must have been missing.

Re: Work unit availability

Nothing new here to report, still the usual random work units at random intervals. Just completed a little block of them a few minutes ago, based on my power graph about an hour or so's work on a GTX 960. Given that I'm about to retire an old FX-6100 with too old a GPU to participate, the bonus is nice to have.

Re: Work unit availability

Well, the kitties are managing to get a clawfull to put into the kibble bowl once in a while, but, it's always anything from a single WU at a time to maybe 11 or so, and nothing even close to managing to fill the 50 kibble cache full like they used to get. And not able to even keep a meager GTX980 busy all of the time.

There will be a forum post from the tech team soon to summarize what they learned about World Community Grid's current capabilities and limitations.

Re: Work unit availability

Much better with these "longer", and more complex 004***** non-ZINC WU's.
I managed to cache 50 WU's, and they do keep coming in up to the max 50/GPU.
