angry Re: Download Issues, Redux (or why I gave up on BOINC last time)

So, there is an issue with downloads. (download 107 byte and stop)
A tool already exist to pass thru that issue (boinccmd --network_available)
and you are not using this tool made by Boinc for project boinc
I don't understand ...
Why keep complaining when you could crush WUs ?

To be honest my issue was that I was not downloading anything at all. Doing the boinccmd wokred like a charm for me. Thank you. Also without the need of downloading any more scripts, which for me is ideal.

Changing subjects, I noticed that the first line in my transfer queue was it trying to download a *.PNG file? Is that normal? It may have been clogging up my other downloads, but I ended up removing it and the floodgates for tasks opened up.

Find this whole situation very odd.

Oh and yes, it takes a few attempts to download the tasks now, but I'm not having to hit refresh for it to work. After a few failed attempts, it eventually gets there. If KRMBL can fix this, then think we're almost there.

EDIT: Nope, I spoke too soon. It needs to be babysat to work. I came back and it almost burned through all the WUs, and only 1 was trying to download in the transfers tab. Had to retype boinccmd again, then it sprung to life. Quite annoying. So not a solid solution without constant monitoring. A pain.

PNG files are for the "simple view" and are not used with "advanced view"

My GPU compute WUs as fast as I'm crushing bubble wrap.

Ah yes. Haven't had that view for awhile now. Makes sense. Thanks.
