I thought ARPs were being sent out at like normal. How long have they been missing for you? Any news about ARP units? These have been absent for many days. Paul. I've seen them start to trickle in over the past eight hours. These are the first ones my devices picked up this afternoon: ARP1_0035218_133_1 Kiev In Progress 2022-12-09 18:38:38 UTC 2022-12-15 18:38:38 UTC ARP1_0023388_133_1 Kiev In Progress 2022-12-09 18:38:38 UTC 2022-12-15 18:38:38 UTC ARP1_0019365_133_1 Vitebsk In Progress 2022-12-09 18:10:29 UTC 2022-12-15 18:10:29 UTC ![]() |

Yes, ARP is back, and so are the download issues. It would really make a lot of sense to keep this one on standby until the new storage system is up and running, so we can have a smooth running system.

I don't run any ARP at the moment and yes, the download issues are back on both OPN and MCM. I also noticed I am getting about 50% MCM units which are retries of the second or third time. Probably two unrelated issues. Cheers

Well, right in time for the weekend, and after luckily not seeing any such problems for the last two weeks or so, it looks like download errors are back with a vengeance...

Cheers He is not saying when you personally have ARP then you get download issues, he is saying that when ARP are available to download en masse, then the transient http errors start showing up. Magically they have just now done so after weeks of being fine for everyone. Magically the second ARP units get turned back on! I really second the proposal, the project should not give out ARP units until at least the SSD bank comes online. [Edit 1 times, last edit by ace_quaker at Dec 10, 2022 6:18:43 AM] |

I don't have time to babysit each device to push these work units through, and don't really want to modify the client like the power users do that turns each boinc installation into a mini DDOS appliance by irresponsibly automatically retrying every connection repeatedly.

OPNG workunits “The scientists are analyzing the available data to choose a set of protein conformations for the next rounds of molecular docking in GPUs. The focus is on PLPro, one of the SARS-CoV-2 proteases. The dockings will include covalent and non-covalent compounds.” I want you to consider the Apple Silicon Mac just a little bit. Because Apple Silicon Macs can't connect AMD, nVidia, and Intel GPUs, so you can't contribute even if you increase these GPU versions. If possible, I want the Apple Silicon native version of WU. |

I'm bombarded with ARP WUs even though I'm set to NOT receive them. And, like most other crunchers I'm now getting download problems again - just like a few weeks back. Is there some way to switch them off PERMANENTLY?

nivrip,
----------------------------------------De-select ARP in the profile(s) and "If there is no work available for the project(s) I have selected above, please send me work from another project.". Paul.

At best, you would get a native M1 CPU app. Apple M1 GPUs stopped supporting OpenCL so you can forget about a GPU app. AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |
