Re: OPN1 supply update

Seems that the OPNG work has dried up as well. I haven't seen a peep out of OPNG/Nvidia since last Saturday (April May 6), and no significant OPNG work since two days before.

Re: OPN1 supply update

I wonder if this is the end for opn bages. It's difficult to get a few year's runtime from GPU tasks.

It would be easy enough if they used run time like they said they would at launch!

Paul.

As far as I know, the badges are based on CPU time used :-) In some cases (e.g. NVIDIA) that'll be similar to the elapsed time, in other cases not so much so!

Sadly, the only way to get any of the higher badges would be to have a fleet of GPUs and a perfect work flow. Badges based on credit scored would be a different matter, of course, but it is what it is...

Cheers - Al.

Re: OPN1 supply update

Are there any open pandemics WUs for any platform? I've not seen WUs on my devices for a while. Is it due to the OS or platforms I run on or are WUs for the project completely halted?

No OPN WUs are going out at the moment. https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg...ead,45380_offset,0#686491 can give you a crude server status panel

Re: OPN1 supply update

So, what is holding OPN1 and OPNG back? As long as there are no OPNG tasks available, I will not crunch anything, other than maybe 1 MCM or SCC once in a blue moon, 2 or 3 maybe per month. CPU crunching is way too ineffective, especially now with unbearable electricity prices.

No other project is of any interest to me, even though some other projects do have GPU tasks.

Re: OPN1 supply update

I feel we'll cure it the long way before this project ever finds a cure...
