I guess it will take a while before the team are able to find the reason why changed device profile settings refuse to propagate to the BOINC client.
I'm in no hurry though. My WCG participation is a hobby, it does not pay my bills, and it's not a matter of life or death.  |

I might note that if the team ran WCG themselves, this could have been tested....

Is it possible to locally force use of CPU on a client via cc_config.xml or app_config.xml?

The issue seems to be fixed now. The settings are getting through to the BOINC client.

I only change "project" profile settings (usually numbers of tasks allowed) at the moment, and that seems to work now.
Thanks to the techs for their efforts, and here's hoping that the fix sticks this time :-) Cheers - Al. |

This issue is back again. Changes to a Device Profile, is once again not propagated to the BOINC client.
