Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

We are getting a decent flow of MCM right now. Probably not as much as everyone needs, but still some for everyone.
I agree Unixchick. I'm getting all the MCM tasks I'm asking for. I'm not running my OPNG cruncher at the moment, so I can't say if they are flowing OK though.

OPNG consistency seems unchanged over the last 5 days or so. Limited work units that hit at certain times and then the random resend throughout the day.

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

looks like we are still getting a decent flow of MCM WUs.

It is now that time of year that I'll have to restrict my machine to night time only running due to poor heat management as warmer temps have arrived. I had hoped to get the ARPs during the winter. I still want them, but now I'll have to figure out a schedule to run them as they are very picky about save spots. If I remember correctly it is multiples of 12.5%

That is not a problem, if you put the computer in either sleep or hibernate mode, instead of shutting it down completely. In sleep or hibernate mode, the computer will gladly continue the tasks from where they were before you put the computer in sleep or hibernate mode.

The problem with long checkpoint intervals and especially the 12,5% ARP ones, only shows up if you shut down the computer completely. Then it will restart the task from the last checkpoint, the next time you boot up again. and not from where it was when you shut down.

I have tested the sleep/hibernate thing, with every project here in WCG, and it works perfectly. Of course, most visible with ARP due to its long intervals between checkpoint I'm not always running WCG 24/7, so instead of shutting down my computers, I use hibernate, when I have running tasks in BOINC.

Don't worry, it will be cold outside again before ARP is running again.. biggrin

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

Whatever was "fixed" a few days ago (after everything went down and everyone's project files re-downloaded) seems to have been a major improvement to work flow. We have more work than ever and all systems are now running at 100%.

Really awesome!

I agree BRC HS. The workflow is good now. The system has found a stable state.

Error 503 is back again, and unfortunately pretty often.

Re: Project Status (First Post Updated)

UG. Just as I said the system is stable Error 503 shows up. I have not gotten the error myself. The system is running well for me speed wise on the forum. So I'm not sure what is up. I appreciate the system reports others take the time to post here, so it isn't just my own experience.
