Re: Anime Addicts Against AIDS

Dude, I think Luna is one of my favorite characters in Harry Potter. I like the girl who played her in the movies too. She was exactly how I pictured her. I was also much pleased with how the series ended.

I guess the latest editions to my stash have been music. I bought the first edition dir en grey marrow of a bone 2 disc set and the soundtrack for Final Fantasy Advent Children. I *heart* that movie and its music!

I couldn't begin to remember the new anime I've collected. Since taking control of our local anime club by subverting the club president my Shu-chan and I have acquired quite a lot. Most of which I haven't even had a chance to watch.

We've been CRAZY busy. We just pulled off our first mini convention last weekend. Gods that was a lot of work. We're nearly out of it though. New officer elections are September 8th and we'll finally get a break!

I should probably wander away 'now' before my extreme exhaustion leads to one of my infamous five page ramblings. It's kind of like drunk dialing...

But! Before I do, I wanted to make note of the team membership. I honestly haven't checked it in what seems like ages and when I did today I got a pleasant surprise; we hit 25 members! Granted, it's taken two years almost, but still! Go us!

This calls for me to update the team website again. I must jot that down and remember to see about that.

So welcome new-ish members! And good night to you all. I'm going to go crash for twelve hours or more.

Re: Anime Addicts Against AIDS

holy wow that's awesome man! keep it up!

unfortunately i'm out of commission for a while... the hard drive on our computer fried this week (luckily i keep all my stuff on my removable drive so 99% of our files were safe) so it's back to the old one that's been sitting neglected here on our desk. it's too old to run grid work, but we should be getting our new drive in the mail today or tomorrow so 'hopefully' we'll be up and running again soon *crosses fingers*.

in other news, i haven't been watching much anime lately, i've been reading manga though. shu-chan has me reading 'nana' which is pretty good. i'd be even happier with it if it would skip the boundary blurring and give in to becoming a full blown yuri. then i'd be totally hooked.

i also started reading 'strawberry marshmallow'. every time i would see it on the shelf i'd be tempted to buy it but never did. shu-chan picked it up with 'nana' so by default i get to read it to. like she said, it's like it's trying really hard to be 'yatsuba' but misses the mark. needless to say i'm not rushing to finish it.

well i should drop a warm welcome to the newest members! (sounds like the warm welcome is some sort of hot gooey pastry that i've spilled off my plate and all over your favorite jeans doesn't it) keep up the good work everyone! i'll be rejoining you all soon : )

Hey, The Female Eri Yuki! I see you're running BOINC now! Good times. I was getting lonely on the BOINC side of things. I use BOINCstats to keep track of my well, stats. Here's the link to our team: http://boincstats.com/stats/team_graph.php?pr=wcg&id=6493 Maybe you're not as interested in it as I am; I like numbers. Welcome back to the world of the crunching!

Re: Anime Addicts Against AIDS

I read that WCG is only using BOINC now. That would explain it.
So, I've got some money burning a hole in my pocket and part of me wants to get a quad-core processor for my main computer, then a new motherboard and RAM to use with my old(er) dual-core processor in my secondary machine. That would mean, with my work laptop, 8 cores of glory rockin' non -stop. Oh, I'd also need a new power supply for computer 2.
I watched Phantom Quest Corps the other day. It might have been cool if I had watched it in 1994, when I was 13, but it was pretty disappointing. Oh well, only $5.
I'm playing Kingdom Hearts 2. I hate it so bad.
I'm reading DramaCon. It's the wife's manga. I have some Ranma, Blade of the Immortal and other stuff to catch up on. I'll do that while I'm watching the Petit Le Mans today.

Re: Anime Addicts Against AIDS

I HEART Dramacon! It's definitely one of my favorites. So sad that it takes so long for her to come out with new ones...

I haven't been watching anime lately; I've been entertaining my in-laws this week and just explaining what "My Neighbor Totoro" was turned into a mini face making match. I have however picked up the new "Nana" volume 7 and devoured it. It came SOOO close to the yuri line. I'm holding out hope.

I've been listening to the FFVII Advent Children soundtrack a lot lately. I loves me that movie and the music is awesome.

I had started to replay "Xenosaga II" since I never finished it, but good gods I'd forgotten how many bloody pointless cut scenes were in it! Having the in-laws here has given me a week off of playing it and I really don't know if I 'want' to get back to it, but I'm one of those people who HAS to finish the games they buy. Tsk to me.

FFVII Advent Children was awesome. This is one of my favorite Infected Mushroom songs, set to clips from Advent Children. I thought it was mixed quite nicely cool
