No Cap'n Jack so far in the new series.  I recently found out my favourite Blue Peter presenter was gay - and got kicked off the programme when he was outed, and died of AIDS shortly after I'd never heard of Blue Peter. Then again, I don't catch many shows from your side of the pond. I am sorry to hear about what happened to him. I like to think things are better these days, but I know that still happens. If we need a reminder of why we are crunching, all we need to do is pause to remember someone who is gone. Keep on crunchin'  -j |

Michael Sundin was on the show after I returned to this side of the pond. I do remember John Noakes, Peter Purves, and Lesley Judd between 73-76. Michael was a rather nice looking young man and quite athletic. Peter was former Dr. Who companion (Steven Taylor).  |

In the month of June, we have improved in all of the overall rankings:
#14 in total run time (up 2 places)  #17 in total results (UP 2 places) #12 in total points (UP 1 place) We had a slow month, in that we only gained 9 new members this entire month, while other teams were more effective recruiters (or maybe they simply reproduced ), but we have dropped one place in the membership rankings, so we are now:#29 in total members, (DOWN 1 place) Our daily totals are still in the top 10, although two new teams are now coming in ahead of us, but we should still continue to see improvement in the rankings, although we could use some additional "recruits" I will be on vacation for the next 10 days, and hopefully other members will continue being so attentive with our welcome wagon! I also think we are going to break the 50,000,000 total team point mark today, which will be another great milestone, as well as giving us a nice new big Star! |
