Wow! Good crunching Gedlion. Moving up the team stats (esp Boinc) at a vary nice clip.
Glad to see we are up to 37 members running Boinc. Don't forget there is a new project (Help Defeat Cancer) here at the WCG that will automatically be added to your active project profile. New projects can be buggy at first (HPF2 as an example) and may cause machine problems. You may want to keep a little closer eye on your stable of crunchers to make sure all is well. Well. After four days of crunching both FAAH and HDC workunits, everything is looking good with the cancer project. No hang ups and machine crashes like I had with HPF2. Of course I am only running boinc and can't speak for UD.

Well. After four days of crunching both FAAH and HDC workunits, everything is looking good with the cancer project. Yeeeaah... I wasn't paying attention when they added HDC, but it's been crunching fine. Not all my systems meet the heavy memory requirements. I hadn't added any systems in a while, so today I got another 2-way up and running. I hope I can bump it up to a 4-way with more memory later this week.  -j |

...I hadn't added any systems in a while, so today I got another 2-way up and running. I hope I can bump it up to a 4-way with more memory later this week. -j j has the best toys! |

j has the best toys! J has a very messy lab and needs to re-rack and re-cable a whole lotta toys. But to do that, I'm waiting on some other new toys that are just getting ordered. Oh... and the new system is a 2-way, but just 1.6 GHz Xeons. It's so.... old. If I can find VRMs, I think I have another 2 to put in there. Hmm.. wonder when my dual 5160 Xeon system will show up? -j |

In the month of July, we have improved in most of the overall rankings:
#12 in total run time (up 2 places) #16 in total results (UP 1 place) #11 in total points (UP 1 place) We had a slow month, in that we only gained 10 new members this entire month, while other teams were more effective recruiters (or maybe they simply reproduced some more! ), but we have at least maintained our spot in the membership rankings, so we are still:#29 in total members, (273 current members - SAME placement!)  Our daily totals are still in the top 10, although some new teams are now coming in ahead of us, but we should still continue to see some gradual improvement in the rankings, although we could use some additional "recruits" Thanks to the other members for keeping an eye out for new members while I had vacation and work travel this month, and especially to CKizer for being so attentive with our welcome wagon! |
