The second link is NOT to a document in the US Patent Office, but in fact takes you to a poorly disguised marketing website, complete with "shopping cart", for some kind of bogus colloidal silver concoction. Gregory -- While I am dubious about the claims that Boyd Graves makes about the origin of AIDS and many other issues in this thread, the reference that CaptainZen linked to was, in fact, a document from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. If you click the link I have provided, you will see "Search" under Patents on the left of the page. Click that and then select "Patent Number Search" and enter the patent number 5,676,977. You will arrive at the page that CaptainZen referenced. I believe the shopping cart actions are to allow you to purchase a certified copy of the patent. I do not think that the granting of a patent for a "Method for curing AIDS" is any indication that it will work but that it is an indication that the method described differs from that of any other patent. United States Patent 5,676,977 Antelman October 14, 1997 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Method of curing AIDS with tetrasilver tetroxide molecular crystal devices Abstract The diamagnetic semiconducting molecular crystal tetrasilver tetroxide (Ag.sub.4 O.sub.4) is utilized for destroying the AIDS virus, destroying AIDS synergistic pathogens and immunity suppressing moieties (ISM) in humans. A single intravenous injection of the devices is all that is required for efficacy at levels of about 40 PPM of human blood. The device molecular crystal contains two mono and two trivalent silver ions capable of "firing" electrons capable of electrocuting the AIDS virus, pathogens and ISM . When administered into the bloodstream, the device electrons will be triggered by pathogens, a proliferating virus and ISM, and when fired will simultaneously trigger a redox chelation mechanism resulting in divalent silver moieties which chelate and bind active sites of the entities destroying them. The devices are completely non-toxic. However, they put stress on the liver causing hepatomegaly, but there is no loss of liver function. EXAMPLE 1 Five patients afflicted with AIDS of the candidiasis etiological category were segregated for Tetrasil treatment. The rationale for selecting them was based on facts presented in an article by Peter H. Duesberg and Brian J. Ellison entitled "Is The AIDS Virus A Science Fiction?" (Policy Review, Summer 1990 pp. 40-51). Only the factual presentations of the article were utilized and the hypothesis of the authors was ignored. The facts presented in the article related to the method of selecting AIDS patients based on the five aforementioned etiological subgroups targeted by the CDC, and the evidence presented, that there is AIDS without HIV as well as with it so that an anti-viral agent in most instances will not necessarily restore the immunity system. Evaluations with Tetrasil were conducted on AIDS patients at Lucha Contra el Sida, Comayaguela, Honduras. The patients two weeks prior to inoculation were removed from their AZT, AIDS therapy. Tetrasil was administered at approximately 40 PPM of blood volume per patient as a suspension in a proprietary buffer solution (pH=6.5), supplied by Holipharm Corporation. The results of evaluations with candidiasis are tabulated in Table I under its disease category. All patients evaluated were terminal. Some, however, were in moderate (m) condition and others in poor (p) as designated in the Table. The I and F designations refer to initial and final values as shown. WBC indicates white cell blood count. The H column, following CD 8, indicates whether hepatomegaly occurred. This was an unfortunate consequence of the treatment which resulted in enlarged livers in all patients except the second one. Despite hepatomegaly, there was no interference with liver function. The onset of hepatomegaly was not spontaneous and varied from patient to patient, being in the range of 4-16 days. It should also be noted that shortly after injection of Tetrasil there were indications of fever (symbolized by T in the Ag.sub.4 O.sub.4 column), sometimes accompanied by fatigue (F). The body temperature was invariably 38.5.degree. C. (101.3.degree. F.). This was indicative of restoration of the immune response of the body, since normally the body will destroy pathogens when the immune system is functional by raising the temperature. The patient who died; first responded favorably to Diflucan, which previously gave no response. He was cured of his candidiasis, but unfortunately succumbed to his previous body damage. All the other candidiasis syndrome people who previously did not respond to the indicated medications subsequently responded after the Tetrasil treatment. Further evidence of the recovery of the AIDS patients manifested itself 30 days after the initial injection when white blood cell counts were taken. They are shown in Table I under the WBC column, which gives the initial and final WBC. All candidiasis patients showed a dramatic increase in their white blood cell counts, indicative of the restoration of their immunity systems. EXAMPLE 2 The above protocol of Example 1 was repeated with AIDS patients exhibiting wasting syndrome. The results of their treatment are tabulated in Table I under the disease category of said syndrome. It should be noted that two of the four wasting syndrome patients showed improved white blood counts. The female patient, whose condition improved from poor and terminal to be among the living, showed a decrease in the WBC. However, she showed an increase in body temperature which was indicative of immune response. The test results indicate that one cannot rely on a single factor to indicate the demise of AIDS. The usual HIV marker CD 4 initial and final are irrelevant. ISM suppression appears to be more critical than the destruction of HIV. AIDS was suppressed, any permanent damage that had been done to the patients in the course of their succumbing to AIDS was not obviously cured or corrected by said crystal device treatment, rather said injury persisted and the patient was improved with respect to AIDS but still suffered from said permanent injury or impairment previously inflicted. I wonder whether such molecule (described into red color above) would be similar to the one FIGHTAIDS@HOME WCG agent has found out in phase 1a at https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/printpost?post=567910? (as quoted below)? After analysing the results from Stage 1a, we have found one compound that is quite interesting: it binds consistently well to all 270 forms of HIV Protease that we collectively computed against. It is quite a small molecule, and probably would not be specific enough to bind to just HIV Protease, but it could be incorporated into the design of a molecule that would be more specific to HIV Protease. |

Oh, dear lord - the writers of Star Trek can produce more convincing techno-babble. Don't be misled by the long words, they are nearly all used incorrectly.
And the reason that this "cure" isn't sold as such openly is because there are laws in nearly every country about selling snake oil. Desperate people will try anything, and to take advantage of them is criminally callous. Don't be fooled, this is science fiction. If patents were peer reviewed, or required to meet any tests at all, then this one would have been thrown out together with the perpetual motion engines and designs for wheels (both of which have been patented, I'm sorry to say). |

Silver is poison and very bad for the body anyways...many products are falsely advertised and sold on false hopes to make MONEY off stupidity.
I seen a program on the science discovery channel in which people falsely believed in collide silver and took a few bottles which eventually turned their skin grey, lost hair and their health was permanently damaged. They were not able to collect enough evidence to sue the company for damages and most would be your own doing and fault anyway. The FDA has the job to protect us from "snake oil" products and harmful drugs. Alot of times they simply fail or can't keep up with all the newest schemes and products out there. Especially, off the internet! Nearly, any product claiming SILVER will CURE is FALSE. They will make you SICK! |

I have examples of real and troubling activities regarding the US healthcare system that you may disseminate which will actually show you to be more intelligent . Lets start with Doctors and Pharmaceutical companies. Doctors and Pharmaceutical representatives have very "good" relationships. The representatives reward their Sales reps.... I mean Doctors with free lunch and dinner outings as well as other events in exchange for the prescription of their companies medicine. The Doctors can say this has no influence as our Congressmen say the same about their contribution "soft" money but there is a clear conflict of interest that should not be allowed to exist.
Additionally, much of the medical research being done is funded by the same Pharmaceuticals that will eventually sell the "cure". Another conflict of interest. Which drugs are the best cures in this scenario? A parting note......Doctors are part of a Union (AMA--American Medical Association). All unions have as a goal, raising their member salaries and benefits. They can also say they are only ensuring that top qualified Doctors enter and graduate from Medical schools (which are also limited in number) and this is also true to a degree. But I don't there is a lot of difference between a potential Doctorial student with a 3.85 gpa versus one with a 3.80 There are more intangibles that can't be captured with insignificantly small test score descrepancies. The AMA is also a very large polical contributor. This does not make sense since obviously, this wouldn't influence our Political Representatives. Just ask them. Now before anyone gets wound up, know that I believe the US has the best healthcare in the World and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. But this does not mean we, as Democratic Citizens do not have the right to call out something that is wrong. Actually, it is our duty..... |

It's called capitalism.
And I hate to burst your bubble, but the US has terrible healthcare when compared to other developed nations. And I mean really, really terrible. The US can make one claim, though - they have the most expensive healthcare system in the world. |

All to often these posts go off on to much of a tangent! Getting back to Boyd Graves the his claim on the "Special Virus Research Program" was the cause of AIDS here are some interesting links articles with the original copied newspaper clips on the SVRP.

The Healthcare quality is top notch......but you are right in that it is over priced.....that being my point also, for the reasons given and others.

The Healthcare quality is top notch......but you are right in that it is over priced.....that being my point also, for the reasons given and others. I just got back from the doctor today. His recommended pills [that he sells at his office] have a side effect of migraines, which I was taking other pills to prevent. I don't need his version. I was taking another type I found on the internet that have absolutely no side effects. The doctor didn't like that, because he didn't have any pill sales. I think I made my point when I said he wanted me to start taking them last year BECAUSE SOME OTHER PATIENT DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE SOMETHING ELSE (and our records got mixed up.) I got a clue when I was handed a form with the other guy's name on it. I tried the pills for awhile, but they did not have the desired effect, even in megadose quantities. We're starting on something else, and naturally there were some drug sample packs (cheerfully provided by the drug sales reps) to start on. The nurse had trouble getting them open to check the number of pills in there. I muttered that they have a childproof seal. The doctor took a couple of steps back at that point. There's a pharmacy surcharge of $10 for some things because they are a "maintenance drug". They want you to order them by mail from the robot pharmacy in New Jersey. That doesn't help the local pharmacy much. The doctor also wants the newest stuff that has no generic equivalent. Naturally. The doctor had to order another blood test "to make sure the other pills didn't hurt me". pssst. They didn't find any problems in the last 6 blood tests when they were adjusting my dose that the other patient didn't get, did they? The phlebotomist missed a vein, so I told her to try one on the other arm. I have two. I also said that my blood pressure medicine must be working if my vein collapsed. The nurse takes it by using the dial on the cuff and rounding it off to the nearest 10. 15 seconds tops. Sounds lazy. Don't ask me about my father. He died of hospital infection after a successful operation to remove a couple of brain tumors. My wife's doctor asked her what they were going to do about her fibroid tumors. NO!!! I DON'T HAVE ANY FIBROID TUMORS!! I've got an x-ray right here. NO!!! IT'S NOT MINE. Sure it is. It's in your file. I DON'T CARE. IT'S NOT MINE. Time for a sonogram. No fibroid tumors. Hmmm. That also means that there is another woman walking around out there somewhere that doesn't know she has fibroid tumors. My mother had breast cancer, and so do half of the women in the Ohio Valley with all of the chemical plants. Some are even having preventive breast removals to give themselves a few more years and bypassing the chemo [which can naturally give you OTHER cancers, because some are carcinogenic themselves]. My sister was a phys ed teacher. She got punched in the neck by a student so has chiropractic problems now in her upper and lower back. She got transferred to another school to work in the library. She also got migraines. Her insurance is terrible, and the same pills cost her about 10 times as much as mine. I changed pills from a headache specialist. After recent retirement, the headaches may be gone anyway. Ten, count 'em, 10 people are now working on what I used to be doing. No wonder I had headaches. My wife's daughter has type 1 diabetes. It's now biting back since she's 35. 4 operations to zap blood vessels in eyes, drain and fill with saline since the vitreous was all bloody. Repair retina. 3 blood pressure pills. Potassium pills. Total kidney failure. Peritoneal dialysis 4 times per day. Found a transplant match over the internet but she hasn't lost enough weight to be a donor. Kid had a stroke. Broke her arm after that. Peritoneal infection from her cats. High protein diet. Low sodium diet. A couple of other kinds of diets. Stomach problems. Headaches. Husband out of town caring for mother with massive stroke and father with Alzheimer's. No he's not. He's in Amsterdam working 7 days per week. Those experiences were only from my own family. That's scary. What else is going on out there? Health care has no incentive to contain costs, and demands that you pay whatever they ask for after the insurance pays their portion. It just keeps going up, since the rest of the world has socialized med care or has capped their prices. What do they call the medical student who graduates at the bottom of his class? Doctor. Hey Boyd! There's a space freighter leaving tomorrow on the Mars run. Be on it.
