Just dropped in to say hi Hope everyone is okay. I'm enjoying my time back in the UK, getting to see my girlfriend and enjoying a cooler climate.   I think we are stuck in third gear since they added the throttle feature It has effectively reduced our daily output by around 30% The sad part about it, is the fact that I cannot email our members to advise them to put the pedal back to the metal After working so hard to try and build up the team, I feel very deflated right now |

Graham -- It looks like I have lost the fight. I saw the infections specialists on Wednesday and was told by them that there is nothing that they can do do to rid me of the infection in the bone in my foot and that the only avenue left is surgery. I will see the orthopedic surgeons on the 26th and am pretty certain that they will recommend a below the knee amputation. They did discuss reconstructive surgery of my foot, but were very negative about that when we last talked. If it is an amputation, I will have about a four month stay in the hospital and rehabilitation center. After that, I plan to move back to Chicago where I will be closer to my sons and can have family support. Although I will not be quitting the team, it is obvious that I will be unable to participate for several months. I do plan to let my systems run until I go to the hospital, but it doesn't make any sense to pay for DSL service when I will be gone for such a long time so there will be an interruption in my contribution to the projects for some period of time until I get my life back in order. Because of this, I think that it is time to recognize that I haven't been contributing to the team for some time and will be unable to do so for several months and resign as one of the team's Vice Captains. Please let the team know that I have enjoyed their support and prayers as I have gone through all of this and that I look forward to the day when I have put my life back together and can return to the fold. If so I need to know how to kick it back to full speed! ----- Graham don't let it get you down! You can only do what you can do at this time! There's not much you can do about the situation if people don't want to give you the info you need. |

Extremely sad news about Dave. It will be sad to have him gone from us for some period of time! I only hope that he gets well soon and rejoins us as quickly as possible. Remember Dave MOT will be here waiting for your return! In the meantime we will keep you and your family in our prayers!!! TAKE CARE!!!!
