Man it's HOT in Southern California! Got up to 97°F today. Mind you, it was 106°F on Saturday.

100°F = 38°C

Welcome to America Spikey. How did you injoy the fireworks???

Hi Guys,

Its a little sticky here and a bit cooler. Still no rain though - the hosepipe ban continues and the lawn is looking too brown for an English garden!

Hope eveyone is well and happy biggrin

Happy 4th of July and crunching...

I didn't go and see any, I went for a bbq at a friends but had to get home to start packing as i'm going back to the UK on Friday.

Also, in the UK we can set off fireworks pretty much all year round so they're no longer a novelty for me cool

But I did celebrate Independance day.

"4th July is Thanksgiving in the UK. It's a celebration of the Independance from America" laughing

Spikey back to the UK permanently or just for a visit?
I'm glad my parents decided to leave California when I was a kid.
So all you English people, what do you do on Thanksgiving in the UK?
Is it really a celebration of Independence from America?
Last 3 day here have been in the lower 80's with less then 30% humidity.

It's just a visit. I have to go back every 90 days for visa reasons.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK, it was a joke blushing
