Re: Can't access Device manager

hmmm your link worked for me....possibly cookie or cache damage. Clean these out thru the Tools Options menu of your browser and retry. You will have to log on again to WCG.

Here's another thread with same error can´t edit device profile ....what OS are u on?

PS, add https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org to your Trusted web sites in the browser settings.....did u do anything with Firewall or Antivirus by chance?

Re: Can't access Device manager

The link works for me .... but it is dynamic, and I see my own devices.

It might also be that he is trying to log on during the same time of the day when statistics happens to be running.

i use the boinc manager 5.2.13
That appears to be a Windows BOINC version number. To get on the same table, it might be worth upgrading to the current 5.4.9 BOINC. I mainly noticed an improved statistics section. Just remember to exit and end the currently running BOINC while doing the upgrade. It will overlay what you've got.

Re: Can't access Device manager

sterlingp, have you edited your BOINC preferences at a different project website recently?

Re: Can't access Device manager

This problem is usually caused by setting an integer setting to a decimal value. Double check that you haven't changed one of the settings to an invalid value.

If you can't spot it, contact the grid techs. They will check it for you.

I'm afraid this is a weakness in the WCG device manager implementation - it isn't fault tolerant.
