Looking at the radar it looks like Sgt Joe is already in the snow. Has not started here yet. They say possibly up to 6 inches of that white stuff.
Getting tired of it already...where is spring

Lets just assume the other 49,999,999.

I'm back. Was out in the Washington D.C. area. Monday, Presidents' Day, I got to see Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington. It was a beautiful day, 70F. On this day admission was free so there was a lot of people out there ( TV estimated about 10,000). If you ever get he chance it is well worth the visit. The rest of the week the Minnesota weather followed us out there, mitigated by the distance. Cool and rainy. It even snowed one day. Maybe an inch, most of which promptly melted. The next day most schools were 2 hours late. I could not believe it.
The subway system (The Metro) is easy to navigate, well run, cheap, clean and safe. That made it a breeze to get around the area.
Got to see alot of interesting stuff. I found the National Cathedral to be a most impressive edifice in a city of impressive buildings. It was the only building of any consequence we entered in which we were not subjected to any security search.
Glad to be back home. Once I get the pictures organized I'll probably post links to a few good ones.
