Quoting the national weather service for the twin cities from 6PM tonight to 6PM Sunday night.

Promises. Promises. We'll see just how accurate they are with this one. If it is substantial, that would be good just for the moisture. If it does snow a good bit, it will make travel inconvenient, rather than impossible, but hopefully most people will just stay put if it turns too nasty. Just as long as the power does not go out. Have a good weekend.

I just got in from blowing out my driveway. I figured if I did it tonight it would not be so bad in the morning. I estimate we also have about 10 inches with the forcast for an additional 6 to 9 inches. I think all of the snowmobilers are finally happy. In mid-Minnesota they pulled the plows off the roads at 2:00 PM CST and most of the businesses shut down early because they expect the wind to pick up and make things nasty later on. There have been a number of trucks jack knifed on I-94, but I think it is still open, although anyone with any sense is staying put until the whole thing blows over. I put the Christmas lights on because it finally looks now like it should looked at Christmas.

OK, they were finally about right on this one. I think between the two storms we got about 25 to 30 inches of snow. I am really tired of shoveling. Got the roof cleaned off for the second time now ( I have trouble with ice dams when we get so much snow at one time). Now it is supposed to really warm up in the next few days so we'll see how much melting we get.
