Good morning everyone. How about a few opinions. Not sure what holidays are celebrated around the world but our new DM at work (AutoZone) came in and cleaned house. He threw away our new Christmas tree we just bought last year (didn't even ask if anyone wanted it) and because the RM is coming Wednesday he said we can't dress up for Halloween (which we've always done to go along with the candy we hand out to customers and children). Some of us have, of course, decided to dress up anyway. What do y'all think. Is he wrong or are we nuts? Here are some holydays Naming Day Tanzania National Youth Day Liberia Republic Day Cyprus (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) But is not your case or .. ![]() That's why we still celebrate Sinterklaas (St. Nicholas) on December the fifth over here. ![]() |

Had one of these moments Saturday when someone was actually trying to enter my apartment while I was at home.

Some of us have, of course, decided to dress up anyway. What do y'all think. Is he wrong or are we nuts? I see you didn't get a lot of replies to this one. Probably since it's so politically and religiously charged. Personally, your District Manager is completely out of line but is probably getting pressure from higher up. At one time in North America, people celebrated Halloween and Christmas without fear of the minority immigrants complaining about infringement on their religious beliefs. Unfortunately today, managers are extremely jumpy from the heat they receive on the subject and take the easy road. They disallow anything that might create friction. As far as I'm concerned this is the wrong approach. On this side of the pond, we are Canadians and Americans and should be able to celebrate whatever as we've done for eons. I certainly wouldn't go to another country and tell them what they can or cannot do. You learn to accept the way of life or move on. What a crock. End rant. |

Good morning everyone.
René, The one place everyone should feel safe, is in their own home! Get a CCTV camera fitted above the door, they dont cost a lot, and if they only deter one, then they have repaid you! (I have one at the back of the house) |

Does anyone know what I am suppose to do with my BOINC key? Am I suppose to copy and paste it somewhere perhaps? Regards Kate ![]() You are supposed to copy it and paste it into your BOINC registration form, in the place indicated. I don't remember ever doing that?? ![]() ![]() That was the old system which changed ages ago. Harold was quoting a very old message when Kate was trying to change to Boinc. The system has changed since then and the key is no longer needed. Just did the NYT Sudokus; the difficult one would be really tough without occasional use of the automatic pencilling-in feature |
