Re: UK

The 1st batch are in and the next (whooping load), are being crunched... Only have 4 Valid at the moment but they did make a small difference to my results biggrin (132.7 points from 4 valids, for only 40 mins work smile )

I'm glad I didn't install the GC to my main system, even though it's a 2GB, the system has some serious lag on it now sad

Would a more expensive GC (possibly higher memory), solve this lag?

Re: UK

Although yesterday's crunching by the UK team slipped back to 0:298:13:40:55 per cd the 7day average RT per cd rose to 298d and for the month todate 294d. A few more new, active, members would do wonders in our quest to achieve 365d per cd. wink

Re: UK

Thats 71 valid & 8 pending GPU's as of a few mins ago (took a while to get it running with out having HCC ticked for CPU as well), this things off the wall cool

My results for today are about to go stratospheric laughing

Re: UK

From the system running GPU, I've just got the 3rd best day for points (out of the previous 14 days), and it's only the Mid-day update shock

You sound as 'alarmed and astonished' as I was when the gpu units kicked in ;-) Pleasing, isn't it !

Re: UK

It is pleasing and astonishing in equal measure, but it's funny how life always seems to throw a downer on things.. Had a power cut in the whole street at 2pm, power only just now restored crying

Lost soo much time, so tomorrow should show a full days results, todays a bit of a wash out angry

Still it has given me time to finally sit down and start reading "inside out" by Nick Mason, 52 pages in and am really enjoying it smile (from someone who usually doesn't have the attention span to read more than 10 pages in 1 sitting).

Re: UK

At long last after a helpful pointer from someone who knew what they were talking about, my GPU has received a plentiful allocation of WUs. biggrin My main machine is only 3core so there'll be no spectacular improvement, but every little helps. wink

Re: UK

Having been ill for the best part of a week (nasty virus going round), my gaming PC's taken a break from GPU-units (since the fan is set to spin up early and it's not exactly quiet - and I mostly just wanted to sleep undisturbed).

I'm over the worst of it now, I reckon, so going back to work will mean being able to run GPU-workunits through the day again...
