confused Lots of invalid results

I just started WCG about a week ago, and I noticed that four of the first results I sent in were invalid. Here's a result log for one of them: Result Name: MCM1_ 0000564_ 4474_ 1--

<core_client_version>6.10.58</core_client_version>

I can't tell for sure whether all of my results have been invalid. When I go to "My contribution" "Results Status" and filter for invalid results, I find those four. When I filter for valid results, I don't find anything. Is there some problem with my installation that I need to fix?

Re: Lots of invalid results

There is a known problem with MCM 7.26 which causes invalids if it is stopped and re-started. 7.28 fixes this. If you have any 7.26 abort them and grab the 7.28 and you shouls be ok

Re: Lots of invalid results

I would also ask:

What kind of system are you running?
Is it overclocked?
Is there any reason your using BOINC v.6.10.58?

I use BOINC v.7.0.28 and v.7.0.64 on different systems and haven't had any issues with invalids (yet).
They also run 24/7 (not sure if that matters).

Here's a link to my systems.

Re: Lots of invalid results

Running 24/7 means there are no re-starts on 7.26 therefore no invalids biggrin

Re: Lots of invalid results

Ok, thanks. I've aborted all my 7.26 units. Will it automatically get 7.28 next time it gets more work, or do I need to tell it to do that?

Re: Lots of invalid results

Hello rinonucuthalion,
Everything is MCM 7.28 now except for individual resends of old 7.26 work.
