Thats because we all got Big Ones! Big Big Big! Units One of my machines CPU Scores 160 and is at 74Hrs/63% done. another that scores 248 is at 67Hrs/93% done! By tomorow stats, we may see new numbers at the top of our Point Graphs. Fingers Crossed  Robert Hello Robert----Is there any way to tell how much time it took to do a particular unit  |

Fingers Crossed Robert Hello Robert----Is there any way to tell how much time it took to do a particular unit Yes Duby Your Device (House Button) will add it to the Member Information in the upper right corner. To get the time you have to write down the time BEFORE it finishes THE work unit and compare the Numbers right after it sends it in. (before you finish another.) If there a better way I'd sure love to know it! LOL Hoping its not too late  Robby PS(Edit)  If no more than one result was returned By the Device that Day. I have not actually tried this so it may not work and may corrupt something. You do this at your own risk! Stares and Orca; Thanks a bunch!! I have a Gig flash thumbdrive I'll try it out. I would hate to lose the points for MOT!! Paws Well I tried - it stopped processing the big gator that was not finished and promptly downloaded another unit that I can tell from the speed it is being burned through must be a dinky little unit.  All that sneak gone to waste.Paws |

I got a big one on my Office machine.... already 61% after 240 hours... I do not think this P3-600 will be allowed to finish although it could finish within the 3 week timeframe the 336hrs border will prevent it... such a waste!!! The end of the story is that I get 4750 points on 28/01/05...   Frans, I hope ya made it ! results that is! [not neccessarily the SURFACE] hehehehe . My wife got 4kpoints for 156 hrs on a AMD XP [pIII compat],then I started fooling around w/ CRUNCHIN' on a thumb drv [128 MB SANDRIVE "Stick" and it crapped out at the completion w/ a "Exception" error....back to the drawing boards... gonna turn that flash-drv into a paging file !  Are You REALLY Computing?  |

Why am I the only one without problems on a thumb drive?
 Disclaimer: Given the track record of error when others try it, I DO NOT recommend doing so without backup. Try at your own risk. Works for me, though. Hmm. Did I forget to say anything? Or said somethign wrongly? Alther, don't mind your two cents on this? |

Just a little more on this. I downloaded and started running the client on my thumb drive from my Intel machine. I let it run there until it said it was 81% done. I shut the thumb drive down using the XP utility and removed the thumb drive. I next went to one of my AMD machines and shut the client down connected the thumb drive went to the WGC directory on the thumb drive and start the client on the thumb drive. As soon as it started it gave me the client is paused warning and almost immediately restarted the job from scratch, I waited 10 minutes to see if this was just a fluke and it was just checking the previous calculations as I've seen it do in the past. I let it run until it got to 14% and reversed the process going back to the Intel box. The exact same thing happened everything started over again.

Whilst my experiment was done from a pentium 4 to a pentium 4, both running windows xp home.
Interprocessor incompatibility? |

You may have something there I completely forgot that I had the same thumb drive running the same work unit on another Intel machine and it didn't start over then before I tried my last posting. So it looks like as long as you stay with the same processor it might work. May have to try it again just to see if this is the answer. I hate too as I keep losing the team ground by having to restart the unit again. Paws |
