Dear Mr. Cool,

You know, I was thinking about putting a phenom black edition into this am2 board, shouldnt need to overclock, just up the multiplier a notch and let the four cores do the work. Sure its slower than the 5000 black in there now but the extra cores should more than make up for the difference. Even a 10 percent overclock would be great. I'm just worried about the heat, 100+ watts for the quad vs 60+ or so for the 5000 dual core.......

I got the other video card today, plugged it in and woohoo a crossfire system. Yeah thats nice except my TV card crashes. I'm going to break out a spare 320gb drive and do a reinstall off the original ghost image which did not have the beyond 4 software and play around a bit.

Then I'll try and be scientific about it and do some benchies. Hopefully the 11816 will rise a bit with both cards.

Anyone tried out the BenQ G2400W Black 24 inch monitor, the price seems right and I need a new monitor for my tv and hd viewing?

When I get this finished I will clean up the system, tie off cables and post pics. The wife will be relieved when I clean up this unsightly mess of a computer room.
