Oh good. In some places, they like to people like me out and shoot them. You never know really how people will react. Just though it was funny what happend, as Roger hadn't noticed.

Tell her that I think she has good taste in guys. Again, congratulation on your engagement! I am quite happy for you two. biggrin

Well, I havent found out how I feel about homosexuals, but for sure I know it is against the rules of nature. Not that I have no friends among them, but I just can't really say its ok...

There aren't many places like that left.
Even in Montana we have places that cater to the alternate crowd.
It's quite a bit different than it was 25 years ago.
I personally don't mind equal treatment, it's when ANY minority group wants 'special' treatment that bothers me.

Re: Great Moments in Roger History!

Pepe,

What you would find is that all groups have their good and bad sides. I live in San Francisco, so I get to see and know people of many sides. What you find then is people in general are really all the same, except for a very few. They are all the nut jobs out there trying to, in the end, make life more painful for everyone.

Anyway, since you know someone that is gay now, worried I might bite? laughing A few hours ago, before reading the posts, you might have hoped that the case. laughing shock laughing laughing

The one thing that this does prove, that know matter who or what you are, you are welcome to crunch here. And as a side product of this interaction, we of this grid, we few represenitives of what is good in mankind will spawn a new generation of understanding. A world fighting not amongst ourselves, but together against a common foe. Fighting a war against enemies that strike only at the innocent, by breaking down the walls of ignorance.

Yes, I have a dream.

As long as they don't try to convert me, I don't care what they do in the privacy of their own home.
I have heard it said that the lifestyle is a choice.
I find it hard to believe that anyone would choose to live with the ostracism & ridicule that has been associated with the lifestyle.
There is mounting evidence that it is genetic.
I have a tendancy to believe it is NOT a choice but an inborn instinct.
I have known and worked with many gays of both sexes over the years.
As long as they know you're NOT one of them, they don't approach you that way. Like any group, there are exceptions, but that is just due to a poor personality, it has nothing to do with their orientation.

Shoot at *cans!

To shoot? No way! We live in civilised country, people just use rotten eggs and... well, some chunk of ****** for “discussions” (OK, those were not most civilised men, but some totalitarian “Christian” sect (actually just some people who has found that religion is very profitable business, their leader calls himself an apostle) who tried to make their way to popularity this way), rest are just bored to death rolling eyes of this subject.
Short history: local LGBT organised Riga Pride 2006, it was strongly opposed. For example in Latvian pronunciation of “pride” spells like “praids”, so local Christian and some other organisations made banners like “No to prAIDS”.
On internet news had so many commentaries, that local news agency decorated their office with banner “Sodomy is our bread” (as they get paid for advertising demonstration an had so many visitors).
My proposal was to get popcorn, drinks, foldable chair and to go to this freak show to see whoever wins. Sure my bet was on the third “participant” – the police. laughing
This year situation was a bit different, one LGBT organisation was against the idea of pride, while other nearly divided in to parts, of which both tried to become main figure to get grant from Sweden, so it looks like they cared more for money than for the rights they are protecting and fighting for and freedom of speech.

edited for language...cih

shock Re: Great Moments in Courine History!

What to know something funny? I've been offered good money to be on "Springer". I know cargod has heard of the show, very edgy. It is not that I'm gay, It is the type of gay woman I am that the producer wanted me on for. He thought that since I was a transsexual as well, I would read a script written by one of those aforementioned nut jobs mentioned in my last post. The script was stereotypical of the worst view of my society. I say to them "you must be kidding". They say 5000 bucks! I turned the offer down. They say "WHAT! Why?" I say "If you want me to tell of my life on national television, I could tell of so much it would fill a complete show. But the only people that I know who would go along for this ride are hooking down on Larkin Street. They will say, wear, do anything you want them to for this kind of cash." They start to raise the price, but I just stood and said "what kind of girl do you think I am?" At that point you could hear a pin drop in the interview room. They found out all at one time that I really was one.

Re: Great Moments in Courine History!

Yeah, Jerry Springer's (freak)show was on our TV too, some 8-10 years ago. And you wonder why so many people on my side of the pool expect Americans to be stupid, fat and/or pervert. laughing

What is important to know about me is that when it comes to this team, I am ever vigilant. I hang around and watch the ship so you don’t have to if you crunched alone.

cool Re: Great Moments in Courine History!

Lets just make one thing clear: it is not genetical!
All human beings have the choice to live as they want to, til it doesnt bother the people they are living with. Thats why we have laws to control what is normal and whats not. When more people will accept this form of living, it will become legal, but dont expect me to say okay for an unhealthy pair to have the right to raise children for example.
Also if you look at the wilderness, there are species which tolerate more and species that tolerate less homosexual entities. There are also animals which kill the ill entities for the good of the horde...
Lets say I go easy on this matter, but let me have the right to find it unhealthy, even if I like your personality! cool
