Re: Great Moments in Courine History!

Courine, I think I need to read our rambling posts more carefully biggrin

Now that I'm back from LA I'll have a play with my crunchers, it looks like it may be OK for our network if I run a few Cancer jobs all day as it 6-7 hrs crunching per result....

Ehemm... Huston, we got problem.

Now I'm going to migrate to BOINC, first one of my 2 UD agents showed "connection problem", and now another too! Cause is completely unclear, nothing helped and it's some 48 hours now on halt.

Well, sounds like a splendid idea as it was reported in both Known Issues and the UD Agent Support forum that UD will be down thru Wednesday, starting last Sunday.

Courine,

I have to say, I have to say that what people do in their bedrooms, or living rooms, or kitchen floors (or . . .), is pretty much their own decision, as long as it is between consulting adults. Heck it can even be on a public beach if you can get away with it. wink

I have known your preference since long before the posts, so it came as no surprise to me, and I am a little shocked shock that people would make such a big deal out of it.

Have to say the whole same sex thing is not my racket, but do not mind others that swing that way. (I even had a gay room-mate for over a year, he never bit so I don't think it is like rabies or anything laughing )

Ultimately I say good on you for not being a following the masses, look at what is right for you, and don't just jump off a cliff as all the other lemmings are doing it, (or at least be one of the lemmings that carries a umbrella so it can fall safely). tongue

edited for language...cih

All the best,

The reason why I didnt say anything is that I thought we were all BOINC by now. UD is being phased out, so please make the jump sooner than later.

Good! Hehe, about the fix. Was concerned your were lost in a memory dump somewhere. biggrin

As to the other stuff, everyone would need to know soon. I am working on a way to get many more people to join. No, not a fruit basket full of nut jobs, but gamers. I am trying to open this door using the team challenge system. So far, with your hansom support, we have done well and are now seen clearly as a top 50 team at WCG in all-round daily scores.

The reason why people here need to know now is that the people I am inviting to join us now already do. The gap in understanding if this information between the two groups might be taken as social sabotage or by some misconceived plot on my part. Otherwise I wouldnt think much of this.

For me, it's nice to know I dont have to 'skirt' the issue anymore.

Re: Great Moments in Courine History!

Courine, I'm going to try what will probably be a difficult post.
I'm sorry for how parts of the Christian community has treated you.
That does not mean I agree with your lifestyle, but I'm not going to burn you at the stake, throw stones, or treat you as 'different'. OK, I won't flirt with you, but you're not interested anyway.
I have also known about your preferences for several months, after I walked the many assorted links you have to finally find your game site. I found some rather 'interesting' material along the way, including, if I remember correctly, your gaming avatar.
As has been posted, this is an international group, we are all here for a greater cause, and we need to set aside our differences. I like the 'agree to disagree' status on personal preferences.
Now if the Libertarians could just find a viable candidate ... but I diverge into another controversial area.

biggrin Hi jal biggrin

If there is any question, "do I believe in God? The answer is yes. The next question may be, "do I hate christans?" The answer is no. Your team's thread is second on my watch list. I love Olivia, she is a true gem. Proof that from middle-of-the-road america, you still can be a patriot.

Re: Great Moments in Courine History!

found this in my email today..

"Hi Sweetie!
I don't want to alarm you, but I have to go in for a diagnostic mammagram tomorrow. They found some calcification in both breasts that they wanted to double check. They said they are extra careful because I've had a lumpectomy. I'm sure it is nothing. I called them back for clarification on what I was having done & they said it is a mammogram, but a magnified one - 4 or 5 times the size so they can see in the calcifications. She said the majority of them are benign, but sometimes that is how breast cancer starts so they want to make sure. They said I will know what the results are before I leave the office. So I'll call you tomorrow. Just need some prayers. Thanks love ya! Mom"

guess a lil reminder of why we here doing what we do.

lol@cargod, your a Montanan too?! cool

and lastly.. do whatcha do Cour. Where you find your peace, more power to you. goes for everyone. regardless of what someone else thinks/feels/says about you. if you are happy, the responses are irrelevant. including this one biggrin "life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness" - some old dead guys.. wink

Hope everyone is well this holiday season. rose
