becca_cet, whatever differences of opinion, it's a pity you don't do any crunching at all any more that I can see since 245 hours. Send a mail to support@worldcommunitygrid.org if you need assistance. Any spare CPU cycle is appreciated mightily.

cheers

cool Re: 3 years and 1.5 million

Notice Sek, she knows me in real life. Her issue has nothing to do with here, but she wants it to be.

If you want, you can ask her why she has any issue with me. But that would provide her with fuel to feed her fire. Notice the dramatic touch of leaving and leaving and leaving........ now twice.

What she wants is to start a nice drama that is to get me in some hot water. So, If you like, ask her why I am a "pathetic liar". When you do, I will run out to the lobby, pick up some popcorn and cokes. Then we can sit back and enjoy the show.

rose To the fallen.

Hehe, and more to come. I have 4 more machines to bring up. ISIS1 has his system almost complete. He had some driver problems, so had to keep the system stripped until test were complete.

I am also issuing a system to Gen.Patton. His system burned up:

I still have no computer, but I'm here in spirit. Soon I will be issued a new assistant. The soldiers name is Lt Col. Athalon64. I know his CPU family and should be a fine addition to this force.

Now, my regards to the fallen:

Lt. Col. K6-2 was a fine computer. Loyal, unselfish, efficient, I'm terribly sorry. Let be known that, even though only 500MHz, he served with the honor and distinction worthy of the corp.

I enclose a section of ribbon cable in a letter to his motherboard mfg. along with a copy of this post. A fine computer and a fine solider, and he had no vices!

I shall miss him allot.

I can’t see the reason why such fine computers fail, when there are so many battles left to fight.

<Salute>

Re: To the fallen.

I'm playing around with Windows Server 2008. Thought I would test BOINC on that system. It is only a Dual Xeon Quad Core 2.0 with 4 GB of RAM. Should bring up some addtional points and results for me. devilish

LOL, ONLY you say!
I don't have any systems like that. I just plug along with the old beat up P4's and a few dual cores.
I see the Q6600 is getting to be almost reasonable in price and RAM has dropped a little.
If the taxman is nice to me, maybe I can afford one soon.

applause Re: To the fallen.

Good to see, we could use the points. I have to get back in the other room and build up sumptin for the general. After that, I can get back to the q6600, as the OS disc has come in.

biggrin Re: To the fallen.

Just to let you know Cargod, I can only afford the quad because of the power savings. Infact I cant run everything here if I dont look at the total power of machines as important. I will consistantly blow the breaker for the flat. It's only 15 amps.
