THREE weeks away

come on
they just had a big break

American series have weekly races

No testing for the teams in this down time
why are we talking premier race series in the world they only have to move to Spain A race Evey two week s isn't asking much considering the spondulicks they spend
Idle Bu**ers

love to race ???? Then get out there and do it
look at the ex F1 drivers who race in USA and travel great distances to do so
Makes me sad
...........

You tell them Den! Go go go.. biggrin

Re: The Formula One Thread

Lol
Thought that might be the case

Weasel way to get round the Baccy ban on advertising ......

I say this as I Puff contentedly
on my Pipe
*****************
the F1 season used to be a summer series in Europe
then the drivers did sports car events in south Africa
Along side the F1 races drivers did used to race in support races in lower formula .
Every thing seems to have got out of proportion as regard the drivers importance ....

They do provide entertainment for us faithful race fans
but as I grow older (it happens to us all)
I see less contact with the drivers who become elevated to star status
when they are only doing something they love to do drive a super car and get paid for it .......

Only been watching Fi since 1950's
so what do I know
Pictures I have of race drivers from this period in sports jackets and flannels
not super heated over advertised overalls

Bruce McLaren Yes that guy that was the Mclaren team founder
Jack Brabham of the same time his son is David Brabham racing Le Mans series

John Surtees Bike And Car champ

Dan Gurney All American Eagles I have met and talked with cause I lived near where they did

no super guards on the gate

And they all were available to talk to

On second thought, it's not a lottery or something. It's more like a prediction game for each GP in the season and we end with a karting session, quite fun really.
