Apart from pitstop go wrong with Kimi and his blowup.

Re: The Formula One Thread

So, will Ferrari now be brave enough and say Massa is their man for the championship challenge and he take preference?

I agree it wasn't very exciting but, interestingly, all the forecasts of bangs into the walls and safety cars turned out to be a non event.

Re: The Formula One Thread

so ferrari copped an €10,000 fine Wow that must have hurt
As I understand it on completion of pit stop Fuel Tyres mopping drivers brow and so on
some one pushes a button
and green light lets driver go

Might be a good Idea if a bloke is looking to see if it is infact safe to throw car out into pit lane
It was a very narrow pit lane the drivers did the bizz and scraped free of contact
Not sure what happenend with Kimi
thoughts were that he jumped the lights
so In reality
Massa did as he was told
Green Light Go
Kimi ;
Thought he saw the Green but it was in fact Orange /red
so if that is so. it is this action deserved a penalty

Roll on the best race of the year
Spa.......................... biggrin

Re: The Formula One Thread

Yes, I quite agree that Massa should not be held to blame and take the penalty on behalf of the team, but this is hardly a slap on the wrist for a very dangerous failure of safety procedures.
When one thinks of the penalties imposed on McLaren last year it cannot but affirm the impression that Ferrari get special treatment.

Re: The Formula One Thread

About that pit stop fine, let's not forget that there was no accident, nothing really happened there besides that it looked stupid. It would be different if he actually would have hit Sutil.
I doubt it would be different decided if it happened to McLaren. I'd like to hear some examples where McLaren is more punished than Ferrari. For example the black flag for Massa last year in Canada comes to mind.
