Re: The "WCG's Global Daily Records" thread

As an addendum, top 5 CPU year weeks, ending Friday:

09/01/23 1637.7
09/01/30 1620.0
09/02/06 1701.7
09/02/13 1697.5
09/02/20 1713.1

75 CPU years more in 4 weeks time is pretty impressive crunching.

This running week will be a close call to taking top spot.

Re: The "WCG's Global Daily Records" thread

smile smile smile Real Big All Time Records yesterday!!! smile smile smile

Yesterday Monday March 30, 2009 the daily points and runtime numbers have been Really Big All Time Records, i.e. the best ever for WCG, even including previous big numbers which resulted from particular operational conditions!
Congratulations and many thanks to all active WCG crunchers for this achievement! And I wish that the coming days will confirm that it was not exceptional.

The new record for the total of points validated in a single day is ----> 216,716,233 points. <----
The previous one was 198,671,228 points dated March 23, 2009.

The new record for runtime is ----> 281 years and 200 days of runtime. <----
The previous one was 262 years and 339 days dated March 23, 2009.

The new best ever for the last-seven-days indicator is ----> 1,358,957,870 points <----
validated from March 24 to March 30, 2009, i.e. an average 194,136,838 points per day over this period.

And the new record for the last-thirty-days indicator is ----> 5,575,181,532 points <----
validated from March 1 to March 30, 2009, i.e. an average 185,839,384 points per day over this period.

Re: The "WCG's Global Daily Records" thread

smile smile smile Ready to welcome one more project!!! smile smile smile

Yesterday Monday May 11, 2009 WCG crunchers have set a new daily points record and a new record for the 30-day indicator.
With the best 7-day indicator established on Saturday May 9 and a daily runtime only 2 years below the current record it is clear that WCG crunchers are able to host the new project that we are all waiting for since the recent beta tests... smile

Congratulations and many thanks to all active WCG crunchers for these achievements! .

The new record for the total of points validated in a single day is ----> 216,819,406 points. <----
The previous one was 216,716,233 points dated March 30, 2009.

The current record for runtime is ----> 281 years and 200 days of runtime <---- since March 30, 2009.

The new best ever for the last-seven-days indicator is ----> 1,442,833,135 points <----
validated from May 3 to May 9, 2009, i.e. an average 206,119,019 points per day over this period.

And the new record for the last-thirty-days indicator is ----> 5,973,594,389 points <----
validated from April 12 to May 11, 2009, i.e. an average 199,119,812 points per day over this period.

applause Re: The "WCG's Global Daily Records" thread

Oh noh not another record whistling ... well Records Are Like Life, so this one [projection] adds 45 CPU years for the week ending May 15, 2009 with 1,867, going over the previous that stood since April 3 at 1,822 CPU years. The 2,000 week is not far away.

peace

Re: The "WCG's Global Daily Records" thread

Jean, have you've become overwhelmed by all the records? Next up, 300 TFlops 7 day sliding daily mean is upon us, daily CPU time was busted now over 283 CPU years, 21 day sliding Tflops record made history, results at an awesome 419,239 validated in one 24 hour UTC period... and things keep working... what's next? Project 10 I guess. Read on the DDDT external site it's not very far away.

Re: The "WCG's Global Daily Records" thread

Current daily records to break

Last night's daily numbers have been artificially very high, simply because they include 9 hours of results which could not be returned the day before due to the maintenance of the servers. So it is a good opportunity to state the current WCG Global Daily Records.
Here they are:

The current record for the total of points validated in a single day is ----> 250,096,299 points <----
validated on Tuesday June 23, 2009.

The current record for runtime is ----> 307 years and 233 days of runtime <----
validated on Tuesday June 23, 2009.

The current record for the number of results is still ----> 485,097 results <----
validated on the "old" servers on Monday February 18, 2008.
The current record on the new servers is ----> 470,098 results <----
validated on Tuesday June 23, 2009.

The latest best ever for the seven-consecutive-days indicator is ----> 1,603,393,917 points <----
validated from June 15 to June 21, 2009, i.e. an average 229,056,274 points per day over this period.

And the thirty-consecutive-days indicator is the only "fresh" record with ----> 6,656,930,832 points <----
validated from June 9 to July 8, 2009, i.e. an average 221,897,694 points per day over this period.

Let's see if we can do something about that: Smoke Test WCG's New Servers

Thanks for trying, Sid2, but for this purpose I would have expected a challenge on results, not on points. smile

Anyway I am not too hopeful that we can break this record at this time of the year, except if the techs needed it and changed the average duration of WUs for which it is possible.

Cheers. Jean.

Jean:

Granted, it would be easier to orchestrate a cruncher in better economic times and the colder months, but this is the first WCG Challenge sponsored by BOINCstats.

Anything to introduce WCG to the wider world of BOINC.

That HCC and HCMD2 run faster in 64-bit OS's is a big selling point to many dedicated crunchers.

. . . this one is just for the practice anyway.

Jean:

So far the interest in this cruncher has been encouraging:

[teams with at least 10 members]

. . . if the techs don't change HCMD2, I believe we have a real chance to set the all time 'results returned' record.
