Yes, isn't that new drill something rose
I assure you that your good old waistline will be back in a hurry, sunfolk alien 1

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
rose alephnull, several days ago you tiptoed out of Finland without me noticing.
Thank you for contributing so generously.

Otherwise nothing happens.
None of you have posted any suggestions for our Christmas Trek,
and I urge you to please do so.

tanner2, we have not reached any conclusions
about your possible Scandinavian/Nordic connections
- and I'm totally lost as far as your stone
for baking cookies given to you by your grandma goes.
I hate to ask for help - I also hate not to know. Please help!

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
Finland is quiet.
So are you thinking
What do you say, TLD?
Should we put up a vote for our Christmas Trek
between the teams we do have?
And when should it start?
I'm not familiar with Base Camp's Christmas traditions,
so I hope you'll help me the way you have helped with all
the other questions, I have had since I came back,
a help for which I'm very grateful - even when we are on the brink of bickering.
Every team should have a committed big bear like you
- and some do - Johnny Cool, RCC_Survivor, LTDAkiles, keithhenry
- they are many
Still, knowing Base Camp and care about Base Camp
the way you do, is over and beyond mere Captain's work.
Thank you tongue
From Me to You

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Evening Base Campers!
We still have several Base Campers in Finland:
jan649, mike047, oliviathefirst, sujo1 and sunfolk are crunching alongside
Team My efforts against childhood cancer's permanent members.
It would be nice to see a few more permanent members joining our Finnish Captain
before we start our Christmas Trek.
TLD put up a vote. You should all have a copy of the e-mail he sent to you.
We have three teams to choose from.
See the choices in The Igloo, and cast your vote, please.

Undecided

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I'm early - it's 0330 UTC here in Denmark
and in 1½ hours it's midnight in North Carolina and we can start to celebrate
mike047's birthday

Congratulations, young man.
We wish you a happy birthday and many more to come

Happy Birthday

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I hope you enjoy your Birthday, mike047 - still 8½ hours to go your time smile
Good Afternoon Base Campers!
rose Guitar Man returned from cruising the Caribbean on board the Ruby Princess
and couldn't stand having his crunching machine sitting in Finland's frosty climate
rose sujo1 has been in Finland for a long, long time, but also he has now pulled his rig home
Thank you very much for your contributions, Gentlemen.
Now we only need some permanent crunchers to join LTDAkiles
and his team My efforts against childhood cancer to fill the space we leave empty.

The vote for deciding which team shall be the unsuspecting host for our Christmas Trek is well under way.
So far eight of you have voted. Very Good!
The vote will close on December 15th and
December 17th will be the official start of our Christmas Trek, Trek #32.
We plan to keep it alive until the official finish on December 26th.

We have also opened threads for Base Camp's New Years Trek 2012
which will be Trek #33. We have one thread for the suggestions
- and no chatter - and one for chatty posts.
It seems to work well this way, and it's easier for TLD so see what to put up for a vote.

Finally, we have a new feature: A thread that will serve as a waiting list for possible host candidates.
Please use it as a notebook whenever you are inspired by someone, something, somewhere.

I'm one very happy mermaid about your willingness to Trek, after all
Base Camp was made for Trekking.
- and we welcome crunchers who would like to try Base Camping smile
O Mio Babbino Caro - oh, make that: O Mi Babbini Cari :-)

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
In our Finnish camp we still have mike047, oliviathefirst and jan649 battling the winter darkness.
rose sunfolk said goodbye. Thank you very much for you contribution.
The good news is that our Finnish Captain has a new permanent member
- as new as they make them, in fact, because
rose torroka69 started crunching with WCG today as far as I can see.

10 of you have voted for our Christmas Trek.
The vote will close Thursday, so you have plenty of time if you haven't been there yet.

It was my last Italian class before Christmas. We watched a lovely movie
Pranzo de ferragosto - Mid-August Lunch
followed by, well, lunch at an Italian place tongue

Christmas ... why not play a Vikingo
- as one of the characters in above Italian movie was called -Christmas song?
When you have heard/watched, you might answer my why not with WHY? What have we done???
Nu-er-det-jul-igen ... Now-It-Is-Christmas-Again
- and yes, Danes do a wild chain dance with this song all over the house ...

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Evening Base Campers!
The Finland detachment still consists of three Base Campers.
Three Base Campers are with Kyuuninkai Task Force,
which seems to make the unorthodox captain perfectly happy
- even as we are to leave on Saturday.

Thank you to the 11 of you who have voted so far.
The contours of whom we may camp with over Christmas
seem sharper and sharper.

Apart from that there is not much to add from me
- should I mention that we welcome new campers for our upcoming Treks?
Fascination
