Good morning everyone.
----------------------------------------Havn't forgotten about getting a pic of my cat, just have to catch him in the mood (doing something besides sleep). Of course I believe he thinks he's a dog, he tends to sleep on his back and loves water (if you want to take a bath you have to close the bathroom doors before you start the water or he'll be in the tub before you can even stand up). Off to work I go, starting the day off behind. ![]()

---------- To have WU TB, I used a trick Saphir12, do only that and AIDS2. And since I had the ruby, I go back to MCM and Zika. For some time now, I have been doing the projects two by two, to get the badges. Concerning "Grosses Pattasses", it is related to the first time that I saw it, at Christmas. His front legs were already the width of my fist. Mom laughed when I heard. The veterinarian told him, that adult, it will be between 50/55 Kg ... (and secet, do not say to mom, but I do not like his real name: Nouki) HLM, it means Housing at Moderate Rent. Typically, it is the buildings that are found in the suburbs. But there is everywhere, even in the small town where I live, there are public housing and social gardens. Finally, I do not want Snurk to traffic the signatures. By cons, it would be nice if there are updates again. |

He-he, stefada, 55 kilos of dog with paws the size of Floyd Paterson's
my favorite heavyweight who by the way lived in New Pfalz, New York, not far from me … You have to micro manage to get the TB WUs? BladeD told me that ’It was one of those projects that you had to make a special request’ – I never got around to look into that and cannot be bothered, I'm afraid. There are plenty of other projects for my capacity Besides, we’re making our own badges here – sort of counterfeiting!!! Good Morning Base Campers! Do you know this? You have a deadline and it almost freezes you to death. I need to pack and get ready for an early morning departure Monday. I need to put on nail polish on the toe nails because I’m going to wear sandals where others may prefer 3M™ Thinsulate™ lined boots We must be at Knivsbjerg 0945. Sharp! Or the carefully crafted schedule will topple. ’Eeeehh!’ they’ll scream, ’you have bare feet!!!’ People always do. I never scream ’Eeeehh! You wear laceup shoes!!!’ I think I’ll challenge the privilege of the majority and start screaming …. I want to go. I want it so much. And I want so much. Only, I’m so tired that I think I cannot even find out to sleep. Dragging myself to bed is an effort - brushing my teeth is ... Besides, sleep is no help, really – and I do sleep ’watch’ says I do a number of hours and divide them into ’heavy’ and ’light’ sleep. I think it’s all ’heavy’ – I would suggest ’watch’ implement the category ’one step away from eternity’ OK My brain goes sugar cold from this I cannot think, I cannot plan Sugar doesn't help. It's a certain sort of lethargy .... Now! Pull yourself together. Start from scratch: Take that shower and do those nails. Book, phone charger, power bank, charger for camera batteries … the CoaguChek, the medicine - how hard can it be? OMG – the chemical/technical/electronic part far exceeds what used to be so important: Clothes! I better bring my umbrella. The best insurance against rain is carrying an umbrella. So, get your behind off this chair and get goin’!!! ![]() |

Little Mermaid,
---------- There is nothing special to do for TB. It's just that there are very few WUs, and the fewer projects we have, the more likely we are to do it. (It's statistical) But otherwise, those are the researchers, who 'break their heads', that we have to analyze everything, etc ... We, as a cruncher, it's just a project like any other, and our PC is a WU when he receives it. ![]() |

Good Morning Base Campers!
Have been explained the difference between Germans and Danes. Germans take the straigth line from A to B. Danes go to A1, explore if A2 would do, and eventually arrive at B. He was kind enough to call it creativity. |

I tried selecting only TB, didn't make any difference I still got very few WUs so I switched back to all projects.
----------------------------------------I hate it when they start a project then restrict the number of WUs available.

La réponse exacte qu'ils m'ont donné : ---------- Maybe it's because you have crazy computing power (2,25Tflop)? But, from my experience, it was by selecting only TB and AIDS2 that I had the bronze badge. And a priori, Saphir12 should not delay no longer enjoy it. On the other hand, to do only TB, it is less WU in the day, than if one makes AIDS2 too. This is at least what we could observe it and me, maybe it is better with "small PCs". And the last time I talked about the few WU TB numbers, on the WCG facebook. The answer was that it is related to the type of research itself, and that they can not give us more work. The exact answer they gave me: Thank you for your feedback. This project does not have a large number of work units due to the nature of the research they are doing. They put out as many work units as they can, then analyze them, and then create new work units based on the results of previous group of units. We hope that makes sense, and we're very grateful for your support. |

stefada and acpartsman, thank you for keeping this thread afloat.
----------------------------------------Good Afternoon Base Campers! Have you behaved well while I was away? ![]() Back from an educating trip – excursion – to the German-Danish border area - the city of Flensburg in German, Flensborg in Danish. We received a crash course in past, present, and future perspectives on the tensions and softening of the attitudes of the minority groups north and south of the border. We met the editors in chief of the Der Nordschleswiger - the German newspaper in Denmark – and Flenborg Avis – the Danish newspaper in Germany who both lectured about the daily lives in the region as they see it, and were briefed by other knowledgeable people and visited places with special meaning for the relationship between these two countries for good and for bad throughout the years. To me personally it was a relief to find I physically was able to make and enjoy the trip. I’m tired, but so were the other 17 people in the group. In two days we shall begin our Base Camp trek to Maine Community Grid. I shall join them tomorrow and contact the captain. It would be nice if we could get some communication going with them – we haven’t been all that lucky of late … ![]() All are welcome to join Base Camp’s Maine trek and earn themselves this beautiful badge: ![]() EDIT: The word 'trek' added where it should be .... Good morning everyone.
----------------------------------------Thanks for sharing that info Stefada. I was not aware of their procedure on that particular project, it all makes perfect sense now why WUs seem to come in waves. Good to have you back LM. Glad you enjoyed your trip and returned safe and sound.
