acpartsman, we have a report from Speurneus in essence telling us that the captain of the host team hardly can be counted on to keep an eye on what we are doing. The best we can hope for is that one of the heavy hitters monitors what he’s doing and finds his way to us.

Today and probably tomorrow as well, we’ll visit Acadia National Park.
There are some difficulties, the National Park Service announces:
Visitor Center Restrooms Closed for Water Main Repairs
Carriage Roads Closed for Mud Season
Wildlife Closure: Several trails off limits during peregrine falcon nesting period
Beech Mountain and Echo Lake roads remain closed due to snow
Expect Detours Through Park For Route 3 Reconstruction
… well, well, Park Rangers, we are experienced Base Campers - BladeD – you just fake it
and they didn’t mention swarms of black flies.

Apart from looking at the smashing, rocky coastline and hiking the miles and miles of trails,
I think we should see how many species we are able to spot. The National Park Service has made a list. And look: It’s a lo-o-o-ng list .
Racoons? Black bears? Moose? Cougars? Bald eagle?

Which one would you really like to see in its natural environment?

For some reason I think our dinner should be the menu created by
the University of Maine at Orono campus which includes a kale and root slaw salad, a vegan tofu “egg” salad,
a wheatberry Asian salad and a dill cucumber salad.
