Hope your trip to the surgeon brings you a good result. And den quixote, we are far too old to be fooled by their slick ways, right? Good Afternoon Base Campers Trek #30 Report We are still the same team stationed in Boise, Idaho: None came, none left. We do have room for more, tho .... so you're invited - experienced or apprentice - our tent flaps are open. Finance EU/BARROSO: "EMU debt situation is very serious" Now you have me scared, Mr. Barroso, terriefied, horrified, afraid! No more glossing over? That's very serious, indeed! S&P: Raises long term ratings on Kuwait to AA; outlook stable. Skyrocketing oil prices should be instrumental in good ratings, eh? DENMARK/FITCH: Fitch affirms Denmark at AAA; outlook stable. One A more than Kuwait and far less oil. Not bad. How do we do that? Good lunches to the Fitch people? Could be even better if we untied our Danish Crown from the EURO as is the Swedish Crown. Awards Sport got his double Rosies and already figured out what to do with them: Mirror them so they can fight each other! Here you go. Quite impressive if you look away from the text. When I conceived the idea of giving you this second Rosie - which I thought was the first - I bought time. Couldn't decide on which Texan to give one first. Came up with the Salomonic solution: Give them one each. They all deserve it. Lighthouse - PecosRiverM - deltavee Congratulations, Gentlemen! Culture Music Trek #30 playlist Well, it doesn't help to cry over the financial mess of the EURO experiment, so let's be happy and play the EU "National Anthem" contracted from Friedrich Schiller and Ludwig van Beethoven - nice cast - big spenders Ode an die Freude - Hymn to Joy - and an alternative version The Muppets' We had it performed by Dolly Parton recently. Yes, the Space Shuttle Era is over
----------------------------------------- always out and about, Base Camp recorded the very last Atlantis launch on July 8, 2011 Last launch of Atlantis Today Atlantis returns. The crew was awakened for the last time, and the song was played for all the men & women from the shuttle program over the years. At the At the summit of Pikes Peak, located near Colorado Springs, the hometown of USAFA 82, Johnny Cool, littlepeaks, and Joypipe (eager crunchers in that city), Katharine Lee Bates was inspired to pen the lines to her most famous poem, "America the Beautiful." She was overwhelmed by the sights of vast, open skies, planted fields and the majestic Rocky Mountains. America the Beautiful sung by Kate Smith Atlantis is scheduled to land at 5:52 AM EDT - that translates into 9:52 AM GMT/UTC, if I'm correct. So did you get goosebumps? I did. EDIT: Weeded out some mushy brain rubbish - by the way: little mermaid was there - riding the cog wheel train - and it was brrrr freezing up there in the middle of the summer [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 21, 2011 11:39:33 AM] |
