Have a nice vacation, PecosRiverM
- drive safely
And I advise contrary to all health guru talk: Take it easy on the morning exercise, please.

We have not heard from 10_13 ...
Trek #30 Report
We are 12 Base Campers in Idaho.
I don't have to wonder what happened to rwillis any more. He's in Idaho! Welcome!
Officially the Trek ends today, but somehow it looks as if you have all liked to be in Idaho,
and NAP2614 - team Boise Idaho's spokesman - likes us to remain as long as we want.
Where else can you not overstay your welcome?
Food
Our Swedish cook for no explainable reasons decided to make spicy tomato soup tonight.
Afterwards we shall have a rhubarb and strawberry dessert
- and I think we could make hime spend a glass of port wine with that ...

I did not get our Base Camp 11 playlist done, but it doesn't run anywhere.

Yesterday, the link feature worked so poorly that I gave up, but let's see now:
This Russian music is a link I received from Yukon!
- it should be pretty much Russia's answer to Radio Heads performing.

Love the Russian tune. No clue what they're on about, but good music.

Yes, that's good music, and I have one more in store for you, altho not that style
- but I can get more from Yukon!I think

Good Afternoon Base Campers
Trek #30 Report
Seven Base Campers remain in Idaho,

Yukon! has delivered one more link for a choice Russian folk music song by Pelageya,
whom we listened to not long ago, and it comes with pictures matching in choiceness:
Пелагея-Век
I would never have thought I would learn to like something like Meatloaf,
but that's very good music - and this title is irresistable

Another good one! Put Yukon in charge of the play list. Almost didn't recognize some of the places without snow! Most of my travel was done in January - NOT the best month for sightseeing.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Do you want me fired, Ghost Plane?
Could we talk about it when you return, please?
Good Morning Base Campers
Sorry, I didn't check in here yesterday.
I was tired and tied up in the very dangerous, draining and unsettling
FOREX dealings I dabble in on the side,
and which has been about to kill me in more ways than one.
Finally, it seems as if the world of money realizes
that as dire as the straits that the US$ are in, it's not all that bad.
And that the Eurozone € is more of an experiment than anyone is ready to admit.
Trek #30 Report
As Trek #30 is winding down let's have a look as the development:
Total Run Time at start 36:336:06:10:21 (#903) - now 42:058:02:03:15 (#813)
Points Generated (Rank) at start 28,107,947 (#814) - now 34,235,603 (#696)
Results Returned (Rank) at start 54,708 (#863) - now 77,173 (#640)
Not bad. It's hard to move a team lot when you are in the 3-digit area, so I think we made a decent push forward.
Thank you, Base Campers.
cswchan, jan649, rwillis, and lm linger in Idaho, while
AlephNull, Dan Holtz, and Lone_Wolf56 went on to other pursuits.
Thank you for pitching in, Gentlemen.

In our Base Camp Forum we have no less than three great badges to choose from.
If you want to turn in your suggestion, you'll still have time.
I asked TLD if he would put up a vote for the Trek #30 badges and ship out a mass e-mail tomorrow
so if he agrees and has the time, please watch your spam folder!

I do have Russian music too, Ghost Plane - and I shall ask Yukon! for more:
Kalinka
I also have Palestinian/Ukrainian music by Rim Banna. I don't know what the title means,
but I have asked Sally Sami, accountant with the Iraqi Embassy in Copenhagen
Tair Ya Hawa
And it would come as a surprise to me if
- and therefore I think Dionne Warwick is right:
I'll Never Love This Way Again

Good afternoon, Base Campers...
After listening to - I'll Never Love This Way Again - it reminded me
of another favorite I thought y'all might enjoy.
Tom Jones does it justice...

That's fine TLD.
So, Base Camper, you still have time to enter your suggestion.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Morning Base Campers
Trek #30 Report
cswchan, jan649, rwillis, and lm
like Idaho too much to break camp.
Money
I'm still tied up with repairing on the disastrous FOREX dealings I brought with me into singlehood,
and so far I enjoy some tail wind as the EURO dream seems to go to pieces
- if not downright to collapse
- but it's a long uphill battle. It's almost Tour de France lingo, and actually the bank
I use for FOREX dealings is a sponsor of Team Saxo Bank/Sungard. I just thanked
YES
to an event next week featuring Alberto Contador. Perhaps I shall have a photo opportunity with him.

Music

Sally Sami from the Iraqi Embassy in Cophagen says about the Palestinian song we listened to a few days ago:
"Yes, it is really a beautiful song and optimistic music. She asks the wind to send a greeting to her Palestine,
her homeland, and send greetings, love and hope for parents and friends. She talks through
sorrow and says that in spite of pain she feels happiness and hope."

Lets have another song by Rim Banna in a video version commenting on Palestine and Israel seen from a
Palestinean point of view - if you think you'll get offended, don't watch:
Ya Lel Ma Atwalak (This Never Ending Night)
For the intermezzo, I invited Chuck Berry
Johnny B. Goode
For romance, I chose Diana Krall (how come I never heard of her? She's exceptional!) performing
Besamo Mucho
