I got hit in the night. All the XP machines and 3 of 4 Vista machines rebooted OK. The other Vista machine not only trashed the 4 WU's it was crunching but also everything in the queue. About 15 altogether. I can't figure it out as they are all on BOINC 5.10.30 and the same version of the OS. My mid-day posting was poor but I still have Silver Surfer in the cross-hairs for tonight.

Yippeeee ... no rain forcast for today.

I'm going to do the same thing with the Vista machines.

I am envious on the weather. I have to get back to splitting the firewood from the tree. I have about a cord done and about another cord to do. I am doing it by hand ... my hand pulls the lever of the 27 ton log splitter.

Yea, that was a lesson I learned quickly last year when I got my C2D machine. The first time Windows Update rebooted my machine and left it sitting there most of the night waiting for that useless Windows password, I switched it to get updates and inform me but not install. I do the install when I can be sure I can keep things running.

Not trying to be a jerk, but it is grammatically incorrect to say "they're" when you're referring to one person (even if you're trying to be nice and not get someone's gender mixed up). "His" and "hers" are both acceptable if you know the gender (as are their relations, he and she), if not, "his/her" or "his or her," or even "its" are acceptable. Shehe is acceptable, but mostly in Thailand in some of the sketchier back alleys.
