Yeah ... but it's probably a girlie beer like Budweiser, or even worse -- Coors, which is like a watery Budweiser. biggrin

Cheers.

Maybe not the "right" post for a Marine. wink

Having grown up in europe I don't hold well with those watery beers so I drink Guiness, newcastle, things with flavour...but if you want to drink that watery crap go right ahead, and if you really want to drink something good I have some lightning that will put hair on your girlie chest...

Re: United States Marine Corps - team USMC

HomeBrewers are coming after you! First the Army, then the Air Force, then the Navy, and then the Marines. I'll admit that your team has a huge lead, but ... we starting to generate more points per day than you. Heck, we're only 71 days old, but look at these stats; as of last night, January 31st, we ranked as follows:
~ Team Size: #253 (with 33 active members, and 1 retired)
~ Total Run Time: #977
~ Points Generated: #1,024
~ Results Returned: #922

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. biggrin

Cheers.

Perhaps I should consider fueling my computers with beer!

USMC on 2/1/2006 -> 14,813 points
HomeBrewers on 2/1/2006 -> 13,841 points

USMC average points per day -> 8,002.97968
HomeBrewers average points per day -> 6,641.5135

When you say "coming after you' what does that mean in Home Brewing parlance? Does it cover the case where you are falling behind? Just looking for clarification. laughing

I'm no statistitian but I still can't get over the feeling that you may need to focus on the satisfaction that comes from having overtaken the other services.

ps. I got the heat issues fixed on my Pent. D systems so USMC should see ~5,000 more points per day now. shock

Re: United States Marine Corps - team USMC

Statistically I'm talking about the rate at which we are growing. Now, if you will look here on this date - 2 Feb - prior to the daily update, you will notice that HomeBrewers has 8 members who have not been credited with any points yet. In addition, I just fixed an old computer and just put it online as my second device about 5 minutes ago. We are also in the midst of a recruiting contest with two other teams -- and the USMC is welcome to join if you jarheads think you can take the stress. biggrin

Hey, we're still a very young team. Wait until we're as old as you old farts -- then we'll see how we compare.

Cheers.

Hmmm... the story about a tortoise and a hare comes to mind right about now.
