There's more preservatives in a US MRE than food. A slice of bread lasts 2 years. The preservative used is banned in some countries. Hey but those MRE's need shelf life.
I don't know don't know if the French and Italian marines have MRE's I always see them eating fresh bread, pasta, meat, cheese and wine. Welcome aboard Dave.  |

For a frame of reference, I've never seen a dust bunny since I stopped using wool blankets.
